Anyone who hates this game should take into consideration that the game was in-fact unfinished and should note that most of the team working on it had left in 1998 delaying the game by an entire year. Seeing as Romero personally wants this game to become open-source in the near future you guys should give him a little more respect.
0:22 - The expensive Italian marble floor everyone has been talking about, the one which ION storm spent alot of money on... the money that should of went onto developing Daikatana for 1997.
the bitch slogan was a joke, dont take everything you see so fucking serious, and 'suck it down' phrase was from Duke Nukem, where one of the big fat monsters yelled that as they fired their guns at you.
@davegsucks I agree. Considering the difficultys it had during development it's alright and it's playable! It's definately not the worst game ever and there are far worse games out there.

Sticle, I cant believe you're protecting Romero. He's done everything he was capable of, to become an ass. If you're gonna get your ass high, you better have something to sit on. Well, Romero got too high, calling his gamers "bitch"es and all, and in the end, he couldnt sit anywhere cause his game was the worst commercial game ever developed. So dont you ever protect him.
I agree the slogan was probably the brainchild of a marketing guy, but Romero DID embrace it, and he doens't seem to be the kind of person to be led around by the nose. Daikatana, his crowning jewel, was all hype and no substance... one of the colossal failures of the gaming genre.
john romero stopped to be game developer long time ago, now, he is just a crappy gamer. romero sucks, carmack is the man!! to bad that he is in a company that produces mediocre games, he should go to valve, those guys really know how to do great games with great history.
Without id Software (e.g. John Carmack's "mediocre" company"), Valve wouldn't exist. Their GoldSrc and Source engines are all based on Quake technology, and it still shows! Show respect where it's due.

part of the quake 1 stuff was Romeros work, if I remember right American McGee actually did more level design for it.
As for Romero, let's hope he learned from his past mistakes, he was and is a great designer, looking forward to seein his new work.

Maybe you should check your history.
