I just recently watched an excellent documentary, " The Hidden Faith of the Founding Fathers", and discovered that the Founding Fathers were all 33rd degree freemasons. They actually hated the true God of the Bible! You will be shocked to discover what the Founding Fathers actually believed in the own words! Please do a search and learn the truth for yourself.
George Washington is the most honorable but religion destroys this governance he is still not the way anyone says and yes he knew magic but so far he is stillthe only one who decides america so hang on for the ride and elect me as your president 10 yrs from now peace ,thinking is the process of thought
It's REALLY STRANGE. up until the late 60s, Washington was considered the FATHER OF THE COUNTRY, and the others were founders but not necessary the father. since we just called him one of the founders, we went downhill moraly; with drugs and wild sex. now we dont celebrate him anymore....hmmmm
I doubt George worshipped the Devil. He probably saw the corruption in Christianity and in the Church.
And so what, if his beliefs weren't christian. It still doesn't make him a bad guy, or a bad leader...he is the greatest leader in American history - his intentions were good for his fellow countrymen, regardless of belief.
free masonry is a secret society, and so is hidden from the public. there is a monument in the states dedicated to G.W because of his role in free-masonry. so its not suprising that people believe he is cristian. but in reality he was a lying freemason worshipping baphomet, NOT a hero.
Whether George Washington was a strong christian or not...why does it make him a bad guy if he wasn't?
He agreed in seperating church from state. He agreed on Freedom of Religion. That doesn't make him a bad guy if he was or he wasn't christian. G.W. Bush is a "Christian" (or so he claimes...does that mean he's a "good guy"?
LOL george wasington was not a christian. worshiping Baphomet makes him a bad person and anti-christian. u cant be a hero for the people and a devil worshipping freemason.
Most people at this time did not want to deal with any religion in government as England had and has. Don't forget, Christian religion has several forms, different variations. So they simply did not do too much in the way of adding religion into our government. This helps include all people as equal no matter you religous beliefs. I ask you not to do laws out of pure religious belief otherwise your forcing your way of life on others.

I believe this. You have to be very skeptical about those who take advantage of their "educational position" to manipulate history for their own agenda. When in doubt, look at a man's actions with his words. It is more likely he was a Christian of that time; he declined being "King" which displays true character. The Deist attribution is always suspect. It's arrogant to assume one can truly pin down an individual's personal beliefs for convenience of 'interpretation' and uphold it as fact.

@jgpeppers Yes. You def. have to be skeptical of those liberal Politically Correct Indoctrinated "Collective" Individuals who continue to take our country further and further away from it being a Christian Nation. Why should anyone appolgize if you are in the unique position of it coming off as sounding arrogant? In reality, it is only the truth and nothing more or less.
It makes us look at the whole nonsense of Washington's prayer at Valley Forge...That of course did not happen. It was invented by Parson Weems. The same fellow who did the story of the cherry tree. of course we all know the story of the cherry tree is nonsense need I say more.....
You know what, Barton showed how there are a hundreds of volumes written by Washington himself, so I don't think there's much to debate his religious views when we actually read those volumes.
In the book, "George Washington's Sacred Fire", they created a huge list of most of the allusions GW made to the Bible, like "Pick up my matt and walk", which is clearly an exclusive Christian allusion. Check out the book, just as I have.
Washington was religious, he just wasn't an orthodox Trinitarian Christian. Barton is a revisionist.
Washington never spoke in orthodox Trinitarian language, but used generic philosophical titles for God. Never said "Father, Son, Holy Spirit," never used the word "Redeemer" systematically avoided discussing Jesus by name or example as though he didn't care about or had no personal relationship with Jesus, and systematically avoided communion in his Church to which he nominally belonged.
I'm absolutely sure. "The Daily Sacrifice" Prayer book has been debunked as inauthentic. And the only other place you'll find GW and "Reedemer" is a speech -- not his words but Congress' -- that he had reproduced for his troops. The words "Redeemer" or "Father" "Son" and "Holy Spirit" do not come out of his mouth. "Jesus Christ" comes out of his mouth only once in a speech to Delaware Indians, not written in his hand, but signed by him.

HE was a Freemason. I learned that from sources listed by Walter Veith.

What does Washington's religious practices have to do: with whether he's a hero or not or with the policies he set forth for his "new" country?

In case you didn't watch everything, Barton also showed a book called "Maxims of Washington."
CAREFUL, as Barton said: There are two versions: original version and revised version.
Look for the original by:
SCHROEDER John Frederick.
And read about his religious maxims.
"This video is pure Christian propaganda."
Seriously, this is no propaganda if what Barton says it's true. He's freaken asking you to do the research yourself.
nvsvictor 3 years ago
He also didn't mention the Bible much. This video is pure Christian propaganda.

You too, you're sure about that?

I've got the book "Maxims of George Washington."
Barton is correct.
"He was a sincere believer in the Christian faith". - Cheif Justice Marshall
"The General was a Christian" - Judge Boudinot
etc, everything else found in PAGE 297 of this book.
I have eye-witness that Barton is NOT lying. Go check it out yourself.
I'm going to order that other revision book, and going to show people how we have out-right liars in our world that are messing with our minds.

You're sure about that? Because I'm going to find out by looking at historical documents.
I did find a 100 yr old history book that loosely made many references to God and church.
I'll post later to cite the book.

Well, Washington did mention God quite a bit, but he could have been simply a Deist to do that.
