My one comment is that he needs to get used to alternating his fingers. That was the only piece of advice I got when I went to teach myself bass, and it is the most useful thing I learned.

I see all these videos of kids playing slap and they're amazing but idk they're so many different styles to bass. Like I Play Stand Up so it's a completely different world for me.
