The movie is very good. I've seen it at a screening in the Netherlands and it's a visual masterpiece.

Daft Punk have made this movie even better with their soundtrack. Mix of Rob Dougan, Philip Glass, Daft Punk... (and some I can't remember). The 3D part wasn't that spectacular though, but I'm still going to the Imax3D version when it's out the 26th of January :P

Thew person who made this video has no idea what 8-bit means.

For starters the color depth is WAAAAY higher than 8-bit. It more in the 16-bit realm.

And the layering? MAYBE in 8-bit but highly unlikely.

Just because it's in 320x240 blocky resolution doesn't necessarily qualify it to be "8-bit"

Let's try dumbing down the palette a little, and get rid of the effects that most actual 8-bit systems couldn't really handle (like alpha blending, scaling, and rotation)

THEN we can call it "8-bit"
