Steven Speilberg has recently talked about doing a Transformers 4. In which I think Michael Bay will not be doing due to saying the third will be the last he will do. Maybe Speilberg will direct the film himself or hire someone else to do it. At least in this one with Bay out of the way and Speilberg a dinosaur fan(He didn't direct Jurassic Park 1 and 2 for nothing.)he may find a way to put the Dinobots in. But until more news comes I'm not calling this good news yet.

In the comics, the Dinobots were produced by the Ark in response to Shockwave showing up to attack the Autobots while they were asleep. They were fairly intelligent, but their speech centers were messed up because the Ark was so wrecked when it put them together.

They then get trapped with Shockwave in a tar pit until discovered by Ratchet 4,000,000 years later.

I think it's the fact that sentient being(yes, sentient) who can transform into a fearsome beast that strikes fear. Also, the dinosaur transformation stands out from the other transformers; cars, bugs, jets, etc. This is what them great!

The creation matrix within Optimus should have been able to do the job (as we saw in the comics), but he let Wheeljack and Ratchet take their best shot at it. VS does it when new Cybertronians are created on the homeworld.
Because they wouldn't be so popular with the fans after that. On another note, making them smarter might make them smart enough to decide to join the Decepticons.

Be cool if they included Dinobot in the next movie , Although he isn't G1 technically though he was left behind on the nemesis and if he survived the explosion he could show up to help the autobots as the sly velociraptor .

Right on. Plus at that point the Autobots had no way of getting to Cybertron to get to Vector Sigma either. Their ship had just crashed not much time prior.

The creation matrix within Optimus should have been able to do the job (as we saw in the comics), but he let Wheeljack and Ratchet take their best shot at it. VS does it when new Cybertronians are created on the homeworld.
