  • could to use analogWrite with sensor?

  • Another too simple electronics project where using an Arduino is complete overkill.

  • @louisiukas Could you link to a place explaining how to do this without an arduino? Thank you in advance

  • will this work unplugged from the computer after uploading to the arduino

  • @jimthechimmneyman1 ofc if u connect the batteries

  • switch the buzzer whit a raid siren! :D

  • Switch the buzzer with a alarm clock !

  • That is really cool!

  • Nice Kidrobot Shirt :)

  • how does the zombie part fit in??

  • how would you go by making an IR tracking nerf cannon that can detect distance and wind and then put it into a formula for the cannon to move at the right angle, do you think thats possible with a regular arduino or do i need one with more memory?

  • @nathan82206 I think you might need a more accurate ammunition first.

  • @Av3rnus true

  • what is the code?

  • But, what the heck is an Arduino?

  • @FriPilot never mind, I googled it.

  • @FriPilot An Arduino is a single-board microcontroller and a software suite for programming it. The hardware consists of a simple open hardware design for the controller with an Atmel AVR processor and on-board I/O support. The software consists of a standard programming language and the boot loader that runs on the board.

  • what is the code

  • Can you make a Suit (the one that gordon freeman is using)? :D

  • im going to rig this to my airsoft gun

  • Almost sounded like you said makerSHIT (makershed)...LOL

...your site should be named shit maker...:D

    Nice video! Thanks for sharing!

    cheers

  • wtf kid robot shirt lol

  • imma put it inside my car door, and have it trigger through wifi and set my phone off if someone try to steal my car

  • you lost me at "it will not work to trigger a Gatling Gun"

  • Can you make me a Mobile suit Gundam LOL

  • good job dude

  • a realy great shit!

  • not bad

  • thats boring :(

  • nes

  • man u look like the cobold guy from spiderman

  • @xgoth1x so true so true and the ones that glow :O they are the best

  • Nice..

  • I like Maker SHELD! Good way!

  • but zombies are radioactive :P well the old ones haha

  • I want to do projects like this with my kids. But it seems Radio shack doesn't sell radio kits anymore. The closest thing I found was a magnet thingy that makes radios. Can anyone offer advice on beginner books for small projects so my kids and I can learn about circuitries and micro technology. like a "Radio for Stupid people". Also where is a good place to buy cheap LED and breadboards and stuff. And why is it called a bread board?

  • @MrChameleon2010

It is called a breadboard because it resembles the boards on which bread is cooled after baking.

  • @OrganicGardenBlog ahh ok. thanks. I was curious why it was called a bread board. is that different than a cutting board?

  • id rather do something free! so. when i get time im gonna show people how to make something like this from an infrared sensor that's usually inside homes that hooks up to security systems. to trigger whatever you want from a noise to a falling bucket of slime. cus its free and cool.

  • is there a way to put the infrared images on the computer with this thing?

  • where is the code 4 it?

  • hahah I was eating My wafle and then PHhhhhh :D Dracula style haha I was like OMG :D

  • SUBS 4 SUBS

    SUBS 4 SUBS

    SUBS 4 SUBS

  • Sweet, he is wearing a kidrobot shirt

  • aww man... i was hoping i could do something like that...

  • 我无语,我们在学校做的一个课程设计和这个几乎一样,电路部分比你简单一些,我们组也是直接买现成的热释电探头,有的组是连探头的电路都自己设计,成本降低很多

  • spy sapped my sentry!

  • Lemme just hook up my minigun to that, aimbot, IN REAL LIFE

  • ohh dose it not work on zombies ohh i was going to do that ohhhh

  • hah zombies xD

  • I missed those days when we used to built electronic circuits from scratch.

Is there anything for a person to do here?

  • @lifefortruth

~gah! boring, inefficient, unwieldy, solid-state nostalgia ... you nerd! (just kidding)

  • @lifefortruth Thats the truth for sure! I still garbage pick most of my components.

  • @lifefortruth why you don't bulid any more ?..what are u working?

  • @lifefortruth i love to build stuff from scratch! :D

  • @lifefortruth Ah, but this is the age of software meeting hardware. Your wire your connections using code now.

In those older days, you couldn't "code" your circuits. But you didn't make them by hand either. Think about it, you used many integrated circuits all the time--such as the 74-series chips.

Today we're not taking any shortcuts either. All of our logic is still there, we just supplement our projects with code as you did with integrated circuits, which were manufactured by a factory.

  • KIDROBOT SHIRT!

  • useless.. dont work on zombies

  • you dont even need arduino , it give out 5 v which is engough to turn on buzzer

  • @iamacracker420 I wish

  • nice

  • i have these installed at home for my driveway lights.

  • will it shoot humans

  • Haha zombies

  • he looks a bit like the main character in dexter :D

  • I like this guy ^^

  • stop at 0:58

  • @ThePenguinSlapper can't see anything strange

  • what if it was a zombie on fire?

  • @darky189 who would be dumb enoughg to set a zombie on fire, flaming enemies are harder to fight then enemies that aren't on fire

  • Does not work on zombies? God damn it... *strikes out the PIR on his zombie apocalypse list*

  • 0:01 khhhhaa...

  • it would kinda make more sense if there was a case to protect it. Right?

  • please bring kipkay back

  • i watched the first 3 seconds a dozen times before watching the entire video!

  • I think I will drop bucket of headcrabs on someone's head using this

  • use an SCR and hook up a car alarm!

  • What sensor might detect large birds, such as herons that menace my pond with koi?

  • I dunno. Zombies are alive enough to move around and eat you, and if they're rotting that will produce some heat.

  • can someone explain to me the obsession white hipsters (or wannabes) have with "zombies"/"braaaainss" etc? We'll leave robots of various kinds for another time for now.

  • @YoLninYo Zombies are cool because they became so intensely lame through many a bad B horror movie, that the quirky irony made it obscure and thus, cool (because whatever was cool when zombies were lame had become old and uninteresting). Also, like anything white hipsters obsess over, it was originally an invention of black peoples, although this is lost on many a George A. Romero fan.

  • @kibcubed Thank You. I thought maybe it had something to do with a subconscious morbid fascination with death, gore and wanton killing of other members of the species under various pretexts that surfaces every 20 or so years.

George A Romero fan? I'm leaving this thread in a huff! >:-( ... Ta!

  • @zarkony1

I meant an infra red cctv camera that emits infra red to see. duh!

  • cool how much? Can you use the motion dector in a air perfume dispensor?

  • omg beginning is LOL!!!!

  • Pause in o:o1 EPIC FACE !

  • no zombie-gatlin :-(

  • If the room were warm, then would it not differentiate the difference when a cold zombie lumbers past, since the background temperature would still differ significantly?

  • i really would like it when it senses zombies

    i got rushed by them!

  • make a nail cuter!!!!!

  • but i wanted to shoot zombies! :(

  • what if it was to detect things that DONT give off heat? would we be safe from the zombies then?

  • OMFG no zombies :-( -,-

  • Is that an anti-static mat you were working on?

  • wheres kipgay

  • lol doesnt work on zombies

  • kipkay!!!

  • i would hook it up to an automatic airsoft gun mount it in the upper corner of a room and let it shoot people who walk by

  • @tatordude42 And in addition I would use some motors to close the door.

  • @tatordude42 this sucks! come on man, a bit of reality and tactics !

  • @tatordude42 SENTRY DOWN!

  • @tatordude42 some ones already done it they use a p-90 recomended because it has a top loading mag design a targeting program for work with there webcam it was quite a good build

  • @tatordude42 that wuz my idea im going to do it

  • thumb up if your loved that intro

  • it looks like r2d2

  • He's funny. Thumbs up.

  • Nice shirt!!!!

  • But does it blend?

  • IR doesnt work well against white. I have used just white foamcore to bypass my office security for testing purposes. It kinda irritated the boss knowing a white sheet could defeat his 20k security systems IR devices

  • i reckon later on in the future, the government will hav one of these on a security post, lol lmao

  • pffft zombies dont exi...OH MAH GAWD A FREAKING ZOMBIE NOOO NOOO PLEASE NOO OH MAH GAWD NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

  • do sercurity systems use this style of sensor?

  • were do we get this shit at

  • Ouch at the end. LOL ^_^

  • depends on the kind of zombie

  • LOL *hISS*

  • Jhon, i preffer you in the maker workshop seriously.

  • this dude and kipkay are the only ones that make cool videos

  • @2reallyboredguys i like collin too, except for his last vid, that was pretty queer

  • can't you just have an infrared sensor switch and just add it to a circuit?

  • wont just buying a pir alarm is fast and easier way to get it ?

  • So if you had an infra red camera it would set it off

  • @bben95 no infra red cameras detect infra red light not emit it

  • hahahaha the intro was so funny

  • i wana hook this up to my paint ball gun so it will follow ppl and shoot XD

  • it's ok guys, instead of using passive IR you can use active IR - which WILL detect zom zoms.

  • This is completely useless for the coming Zombie Apocalypse!

Then again you could set it to stop the machine guns and flame throwers when a regular human comes running in to get away from the Zombies.

    :P

  • lol @ the beginning, only wish i could do my own programming :P

  • The zombie reference was great. Yeah they're at ambient so you'd never see them with PIR.

  • what if i want it to trigger on Cold-blooded animal ^^

  • haha he reminds me of an angry cat at the start :D

  • Will not protect against a Zombie Attack . . . . ROFL

  • dam zombies always keeping the alive man down.

  • paintball gatling teach us how to make a turret

  • bout time you came up wit good thing... but... wheres kip?!

  • Use a video camera and a joystick to operate the gatling gun from your underground fenced in shelter.

  • @Hermitcrabstuff34 kipkay does weekend projects for MAKE not the maker shed

  • if it doesnt help me against those rubbish zombies it's pretty useless.....

really these vids never help me with my real problems....

  • You're wrong about zombies. They have quite the metabolism, hence the constant need to feed on brains.

  • sigh... NOW how am I supposed to get rid of the zombies....

  • @catstuffer put a motion detecter on it not a heat senser

  • @yoffy2 yeah but it doesn't work in the dark

  • @catstuffer you could set the zombies on fire first

  • I like it

  • where is kip kay

  • @hermitcrabstuff34

    kip kay sucks .

  • @hitachi088 no he dont fuck you!

  • @hitachi088 you suck

  • @hermitcrabstuff34 he probably calling companies asking if they want to advertise

  • @FreeNode5 they are assembled.

  • why the hell would you need a arduino just to turn on a alarm if the output of the PIR is only on and off.

  • too bad it dont work on zombies, i have some in my backyard which i dont want to see me.

  • @WpA09 u shuold use plants to defend your back yard from zombies

  • @gamma526 yeah that would be a good idea. shall see if i can find some

  • I would just like to point out that if you set the zombies on fire first they show up just fine.

  • is it possible to buy pre-assembled arduinos?

  • he has the same model laptop as me! too bad that thing dosent work on zombies...i guess we can use dogs to alert us right?

  • Dammit I was going to use this to set up a Zombie obliterating turret. Oh well. Great project anyhow.

  • wow that is so cool

  • LOL zombies. I was wondering if i could use it for my machine gun turret!!!

  • Thumbs up for shotting Zombies!!!

  • if it don't work against zombies how can i be sure they don't eat me??

  • @EmilxLollipop be a zombie

  • o off John

  • you've made that very complicated, Thats a lot of electromics for something so simple. Why not use a 555 Timer to sound the buzzer and power the LED?

  • Nah no problem. I will manually shoot the zombies.

  • how do i kill zombies in the dark now?

  • @beriorgar

    Yep, you're screwed now. :D

  • i really want one so that I can prevent my brother from taking my laptop just cuz his mac got cracked. He should just get it fixed!!! If he breaks my computer, he owes my $349.95 for it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Why did you use an arduino for this? a simple 555 would do the exact same thing.

  • @bobobano thats what i was thinking! i just bought 5 off ebay cant wait to get some projects going!

  • Awesome video! You could put one of these connected to some C4 down into a paint can and then write "dont open me" on the lid and put it in front of someones house...

  • @aCagedApe That along with a variety of other methods for being a dick are available to you sir.

  • darn.. i have a zombie problem and a useless gatling gun sitting around.

  • well for the zombies you can make a IFR radar. that means it will sead out a light that we cant see in a 50* to 180* and when something pass in the light it will be return back at the reader and therefor the PC will Take it and use it for a target. :3

  • ehh not a big fan of arduinos

  • what is the maximum range of it?

  • Does it register women as well? The women I know are cold.

  • @BeeRich33 maybe you scare them away with your sexist humor.
