  • Beautiful! I love the Japanese attention to detail and the ample repititions. Traditional martial arts style. Would love to be in his class.

It's no wonder why this guy is one of the best in the world! Very entertaining and creative fighter too...

  • can't understand him, it's like he's speaking a different language or something.

  • Three Quarter Nelson from Overleg Ride. When did this become Japanese?

  • @yawakoben When it turned into a choke

  • Check out Shinya's giant feet.

  • Necktie or not, Japanese people sound stjupid.

  • @MrAlala911 he'd probably tap you out in a milisecond

  • @fawyoshinator01

You know what, he propably would! But Japanese people sound stjupid.

  • Wow! What a great teacher. I love the repitition.

  • definitely practicing this

  • Nice :)

  • "I will attempt to snap your arm, very hard, then slap your mom and flip your grandmother the bird" is all i heard. I'm also surprised he kept one demo partner throughout the video.

  • Isnt tat just a darce with a hooked in leg?

  • @fuckassnut not quite, pretty close though. The difference is the grip. A d'arce requires you to bury your arm all the way up to you shoulder so that you can grip the bicep of the other arm, as opposed to the gable grip shown here. Doesn't seem like much but achieving the grip Aoki shows here is much easier than a d'arce grip.

  • @fuckassnut Same arm placement as a D'arce choke but with the same grip or arm hold as a Peruvian. This is much easier to apply than the Peruvian necktie but you can get a lot more torque out of a Peruvian as you're using your feet to lever your choke instead of one leg in this one.

  • @SASAussie It is not the same grip or arm hold as a Peruvian. Its the opposite. Its not easier or harder, its a different move. It depends on the person applying and the person it is applied to. Not trying to argue, just trying to make things clear. Thanks.

  • @Darumpshaka I was just saying that it's more like a Peruvian than a D'arce.

  • I hate that I've only half assed learned Japanese, I understand a couple words every other sentence and I get a light bulb moment each time. Anyways, anyone else who get's on here to troll and call this a peruvian necktie needs to get "Finger barred" for typing such sillyness. Attend an actual BJJ class and ask the instructor to show you the difference, or youtube warrior it up and find the difference for yourself.

  • peruvian necktie!!

  • @eltulkas close, but with the peruvian you use both legs on your opponent, one on their back, one on their head to stop them from rolling and tighten the choke respectively. Also you don't roll forward but rather you sit back in the peruvian. Both are pretty deadly chokes though, when done correctly.

  • his english is really really bad, i couldnt understand a word he was saying

  • it should just be called the NECKTIE when he teaches it, everything is already Japanese !!

  • @dharmadude222 well, if i was getting dressed and i said, "can you give me the necktie?" i wouldn't them to do this to me.

  • Shinya aoki FTW

  • hes like a little japanese jiujitsu spider.

  • @fuduzan5562 who is jeff

  • @fuduzan5562 i have some plain black ones by russell athletics

  • @blackenese73 Only the japanese can pull it off man !! lol
