@pedroleitaoricciardi you are right, it's an edit, quiet combined the first two tracks of the alan parson's album and also remixed it a bit, removed the voice... so, it's more of a remix...
@MrPangwang2 its footage from films that I edited to the music. I did it because i wanted to express something visually along with this amazing track.
@DavNav88 Well man, you did an awesome job ^_^ Man you know what woulda made the video as trippy as the song? When the explosion happens in the vid, if everything started color cycling ~_~' heh, that'd be effin' awesome lol
@MrPangwang2 haha, i wish i could add stuff to it too! maybe change some editing... but i lost this video in a hard drive crash and its surviving solely on youtube, lol! nyways, this was back when video editing software wasn't 100% garbage. god I hate adobe premiere, and about 95% of what's out there. if i had easy video editing software, i'd do this kind of stuff all the time.
Hi, You can catch Quiet Village showing the visual side of their 'Silent Movie' Lp on Sunday 25th April 2010 alongside European premiere of 'NYC Downtown Calling', Jigoku live @ Andy Weatherall DJ set @ Village Underground, 54 Holywell Lane, London EC2A
Thanks for the comment! I think I chose the visuals for a number of reasons though. First off, the track samples "Voyager", by APP. The album it's on, "Pyramid", deals a lot with voyaging, travelling, etc. That explains the car shots. It's also an incredibly dramatic instrumental, (not 'chill' at all!). There are definitely feel good moments on Silent Movie (first track for instance), but this one definitely isn't one of them.
good instrumental

This reminds me of those great scenes from Ricky Business and that fantastic soundtrack by Tangerine Dream. Great work!!!! Love this vid!

better re-work than the cfcf one from alan parsons project - voyager
sinaksari 1 year ago
@sinaksari it's hardly a rework, it's in the same style of the original sans vocals (hell the first 2 or so mins are identical to the original!)

Wow, did you make the video or did you find this somewhere? Do any of the other songs have videos?
I'm sorry, but I've talked to Joel Martin himself, I'm obsessed with Quiet Village

i dont mean a feel good track as a party tune.I mean its a chill track like relax let go..at least thats how it works on me...

Parts of it look like the 19080s movie Thief with James Caan and directed by Michael Mann
boomhs1 3 years ago
Yeah, bingo. Thief, Targets, Taxi Driver, Mean Streets, and Cruising. Thief is particularly good, the visuals were amazing in that film.
