Do you know where I can get the soundtrack to this game?

Why haven't they done a remade version of this game they did that with the Fallout game series (actually it was called by another name prior that did poorly) is there a possibility of this being done despite the license and other issues of it being an old game? Just a question for you how do you make a game such as this without computer programming knowledge I've always wanted to make my own game any advice you can give me?

I am an absolute idiot when it comes to command prompts... I installed DosBox 0.74, now I wish to play M.A.X. from my C:\ drive.... but giving the mere command C C:\MAX or C C:\INTRPLAY\MAX\MAXRUN.EXE doesn't work... it says "Illegal command" . What should be the exact line instead? Thank you a ton !

you can play this classic game if you download "dosbox" on your pc. After that's done just download this from anywhere. Dosbox has a manual, just in case you can't get it to work. My brother showed me how it's done and before this week it's been years since i played this. This week I've I've been playing my ass off, oh the nostalgy :D I have windows 7, in case anyone wonders.

It's too bad part 2 is completely terrible compared to the original. Or in general really. I nearly uninstalled it once I discovered it had a power limit, as if all the other flaws and horrid 'innovations' weren't bad enough.

I miss the days where I could make 50+ research stations and have -100% cost research done. T_T

here you can find max reloded... it is diffreint because there aren´t same voice nor sound and gfx but if you own the orgianl cd you can tranfer it to the maxr.

Best strategy game ever!!

Just the fact that is turn-based already makes it brilliant, you have to really think to play.

I am playing in Windows XP with sound and everything else, working 100%. I am using VDMSound (DOSBox-like program). Later I post a link teaching how to setup it on XP.

I used to play M.A.X games when i was a kid all the time. M.A.X 2 had sucha good AI i never won any games. I cant get it working on my new comp, you have any idea whats wrong?? I install it and it just wont start, ive tried everything. My all time fav games.

and I usually win within 60 turns because I build an Air Units Plant, AWAC and Ground Attack Planes, the computer usually doesn't have Fighters by then, so you easily win...

I was thinking, this game can be done online. In a browser, html based. There are really no need for good graphics engine and as far as animations go, well what could be more perfect than gif. :D I am a programmer my self and I am seriously thinking about this one. Just imagine you can play against anyone enywhere... aaah... internet :)

This game is soooo addicting! I used to play this game with my friends during lans, I can't believe how addicting this game is! I love the whole mechanical/industrial feel to the game. I only wish the AI was more advanced, though for 1997 AI, it's pretty damn good. Ground assault planes FTW!

I found this game yesterday between some garbage. Too bad it didn't work (scratches & dust), so I'm now downloading it from Abandonia. I've never played any games from the 90s (except for the Fallout-series), but this game still looks pretty awesome! :-)

You better find a torrent for it because the real full version is around 650MBs the one from abandonia is only 40MBs and it is missing A LOT of things.

I got my own "copy" of this maybe a week ago and I LOVE it. When I was little kid, like 8 or 9 I played the demo and didn't understand anything at it because it was in English, yet I enjoyed it.

Now I have the full version and OH BOY I LOVE it. EVEN it is 12 years old. :D

i once played a c&c like robot game, i dont remember the name but the title menu had videos of robots where one looked like it played with a toy car, it was interesting and had some kind of mcv.
