  • Sure you could but at the time I wanted to freeze this for making pesto. I suppose that the title should be Freezing pesto. Thanks for the comment.

  • Could you not just stuff the leaves in the bag and freeze it that way?

  • @rico522 I tried that, and the leaves turned black after a week

    Not a really good sight. I guess I should have tasted it even though

    it looked black, but I didin't. My new way is to chop the basil and mix

    it in a container with shredded parmasen. Freeze it for up to one year. It stays green and you can use it over spagetti, noodles, salad or even marinara sauce.
