Not a really good sight. I guess I should have tasted it even though
it looked black, but I didin't. My new way is to chop the basil and mix
it in a container with shredded parmasen. Freeze it for up to one year. It stays green and you can use it over spagetti, noodles, salad or even marinara sauce.
Sure you could but at the time I wanted to freeze this for making pesto. I suppose that the title should be Freezing pesto. Thanks for the comment.

Could you not just stuff the leaves in the bag and freeze it that way?
