It sometimes takes me more time to read a score than to hear a song and play it...which in a sort of sense, is good, but very bad when it comes to jazz improvisation because I'm lacking all the classical and theoretical skills.

I always thought that having perfect pitch would fuel your improvisation..in any kind of music...but maybe I'm wrong on that. you play classical music then? Oh and trust me, I'd love yo hear a spoon fall on the floor and instantly say it's a g sharp :)

When I try to play a jazzy chord I hear, in the most accurate way possible, and when my piano is slightly untuned, I never get the right note (for example it's between a G and a G sharp on my piano, but I know it's a G in the CD). I get very fustrated. I can see why Keith Jarrett (one of the living legends of Jazz) is annoyed when his piano is untuned in a concert to the point that he stops playing in front of the audience and leaves haha.

@Criticalperspective2 Disons que tu aie un do (dunno if u speak french notes but hey), un si ne va pas avec, c'est juste comme ça pour moi. Un ré non plus, pareil. Je peu pa expliké, c'est bizzare... J'ai aussi un truc avec les notes: c'est comme l'alphabet: y'a des voyelles et des consonnes. Pour moi Do, Sol, Fa et dé fois Ré sont des consonnes, et donc se mettent en #; Mi, La et si sont comme des voyelles qui se mettent en bémol et pas en #. Va comprendre, c'est ma cervelle qui beug!
