An Uppermiddle class take on the working class, pathetic! and what the hell's wrong with working as a baker as if going to college will somehow make everything all better, it's all about status- propaganda bullshit!
Working in a factory is shit. I'm working class, grew up in Basingstoke (pretty much the same kind of town as Stevenage), worked in shit warehouse jobs and couldn't wait to get to a good uni and give myself a chance of escaping that small-town mentality. Just going to college doesn't make everything better, but for a lot of people it is symbolic of having broader horizons than staying in your home town and working a crap 9-to-5.
With regard to living in a crap small town, yeh I guess I can relate to that. personally speaking I felt pressurised to go to college just to fit in with an elite group of people or way of life as if thats the defined thing in which all of society is compared to I think as long as you have some sort of purpose in life you can be happy, uknow I know lots of people even people who I work with who went to college and ended up not doing what they studied. College can however give you broader knowleg
thats my little sis 1.33 bridesmaid, and i play the little shit at the wedding reception.looking back at it now some classic tunes on there and them actors have done alright.
I snuck into the cinema when i was 15-16 to watch this in the cineworld in stevenage lol. I kinda liked it, i would probably think it was better now though.

Very underrated brit flick of the 90's. At the time Trainspotting's Danny Boyle praised this film
