  • rip Barney

  • I played this clip while opening up another tab on my computer, and played "The Curtain Falls" (I had never heard the song before - wow!) from a Bobby Darin clip. Made me cry!

You did great! Love ya, Don!

  • Funniest that ever lived.

  • I totally agree, I had audio deleted from a funeral tribute. I fought and won against 2 removals using fair use, people need to understand fair use and use it, it throws the legal issues back on the face of youtube and WMG among others.

  • piss on wmg

  • davidtheditchdigger, you are ABSOLUTELTY RIGHT!!!! PISS ON WMG, and ALL THE OTHER censorships we get here on YouTube...a place which is SUPPOSED to be able to recognize and remember our memories of people gone but NOT forgotten!! WTF?? What will it be next?? Seriously folks, this has gotten RIDICULOUS!! We are just the fans, we're not the enemy!!! THANKS for posting this short, but to-the-point comment!! GET UR CENSORSHIP & SHOVE IT WHERE THE SUN DON'T SHINE!!!!!!!

  • One of the funniest men who ever lived...a legend!

  • Very Very Nice.......Thanks

  • Barney Fife is the greatest character ever created for television, period, and it's not even close. And only Don Knotts could pull him off.

  • @cheeks1958 BINGO.

  • Excellent tribute. Great song selection. And a FANTASTIC person to recognize. A True talent!

  • Darn Hard to believe he barely was making it as an actor before this show!! Andy found a nuget of gold when he suggested him!!

  • I stoped watching at 1:40. I couldn't stand it! How did you make that. MAN! I got butterflies in my tummy. :'( Good job man

  • My mom and I watch the Andy Griffith show all the time! In my opinion, feel free to disagree with me, Don Knotts almost MADE the show. I mean, after he left, it didn't seem to have the flare as it once did. Anyway I love the video and this song! Great Work!

  • The show was cancelled like the next season after Don Knotts left. Hint!

  • actually.. three seasons later and DOn made a guest appearence each season.

  • Yeah I guess you're right! We/I don't even bother to watch the ones after he left....

  • Time just keeps on goin'. "Change" is the only thing that ever stays the same. One day, we'll all be gone. A million years into the future, who will ever know we were even here? But, for now, what a wonderful "blip" we are.

  • i actually cried the day he died a couple years ago im 13 now.

  • I did too.... :-(

  • I did too. My mom cried as well, yet she didn't cry when her own dad died. Don't call her heartless, her dad was insane.

    R.I.P. Don Knotts..

  • the actors on the Andy griffith show was so outstanding, after all these years you can always look at that show and laugh.. Don Knotts was the best he made the show outragously funny.................. :o)

  • I know were the ford galaxy that was used, I used to work for this bus company down in Branson,Mo , he has the car parked out side in the rain.

  • Really? can you get a pick of it and post it? in 1983 I went to L.A. and while traveling through Esat L.A. I saw what was left of the Partridge Family Bus beside an abandond Gas station. So Sad.

  • If you look up the bus co, Branson Shuttle,

Hollister,Mo Next time I am back there I will get a photo, It is sad to see it just sit there, It should be in a showcase some were.

  • Any chance that it may be for sale? Or does the owner know what he has and gives the usual, "I'm going to fix er up someday" story?

  • Oh, you know this guy? The dud is bilnr stasis, every payday it was like you were taking his last dime, His dad started stone container, world largest paper manufacture, he was a big fan of Andy,

  • No I dont know him personally. Just his type. He's the same as every guy who has a sad and rusted performance car in his yard. "Nope not for sale. I'm gonna fix er up." You go back 10 years later and the both the car and the guy are dust.

  • Yep, the same guy. his dad is dieing form liver dz, he has all that money, I have shared Christ with him, he feels his money will take care of him. Very sad case.

  • I went to his website but could find no pics of the car itself. Any other ideas? I'd like to see it.

  • He was a true American classic and a class act. I met him twice and he was such a nice man. Never has there been a better or funnier second banana.
