Nice car. I do agree with most people about ditching the wheels.IMO i think something a little more concave or with a dish would look more appropriate.I don't think those wheels are terrible though.
@BooneDoomer They're not Dodge Challenger wheels. I've actually had them on this specific car before Dodge re-released the Challenger in 2008. Good luck with your Mustang II the wheels on that thing ain't pretty either. Glad you like the way my car sounds...took a lot of work to put that thing together.
In fact, really. Looks like the builder was taking the car in the direction of more Contemporary / modern look. I think the wheels actually help do that! Sh.t, look at the new modern muscle cars! 80% of their choice of wheels from factory are like these or similar. (at least around my state anyways) Speaking of which, they need to just sop REINVENTING them, stamp the steel bodies just liek they did back in the hayday, and just modernize the drivetrain!!! Real Winner right there!!

@rydon100 eBay racing seats. I had to custom fab a bracket to bring the driver's seat six inches further back. I also had to take apart the driver's seat so that the back sat up straight, it had way to much of a lean when I originally installed it. The passenger seat is in it's stock form, so is the bracket for it.
wow look at that body shape 0:16! this is truly a work of art that Ford has made that is built/designed 40 years ahead of its time!
also, i love the 70 Boss 302 but i hate the fact that almost every Boss 302 (or even just almost every 70 Sportsroof) out there has a rear spoiler and louvers and it kinda ruins the shape for me. so its really refreshing to see a 70 Stang without those options. brings out the true beauty of this beast for me. also i don't mind the rims.
@k3uw69 wow to you my friend, what is refreshing is a person actually leaving me a nice comment like you have! I totally agree with you about the window slats and rear spoiler. My car never originally came with them and after I painted it black I just fell in love with the shape. The slats are function over form for the Boss 302, as was the flat black hood...keep as much glare out as possible. I've heard people say that the spoiler was also functional...that, I'm not certain on. Thanks!

@Karnage542 I wanted to go with retro larger and wider magnum 500's. But I had these laying around from another car and the bolt pattern fit. They already had new tires so I went with them. Honestly I love the way it looks, the silver wheels match the silver stripes.

@Karnage542 They are 19"s. I had to choose my battles. Buy all new tins or buy another set of wheels. I went with all new rust free tins and kept the wheels I had. Porportionally when you see it in person it looks good. I don't just like it, I love it. My resto-mod looks exactly how I wanted it to.

@dunn98632 Hey Dunn, I'm not sure what gave you the impression that the car is not setup for touring. The foundation for this car is Pro-Touring, that's the whole reason for the modern wheels and tires. I've never taken her to the track but I can if I want to. Thanks.
Me personally, I preffer Magnum 500 wheels, but I have to admit that those rims look amazing man... Obviously, from a "puritan" point of view, those might be a disgrace, but they look pretty nice!. At the end is your stang, not theirs.
@vaughaning Thank you so much! I actually take the car to shows where all the "puritans" congregate and they are all really cool guys. They know I didn't go for a stock look so the wheels don't bother them. You can't beat a beautiful set of Magnum 500's on a stock mustang...perfect compliment.
I'd choose a 1970 Mustang over any modern sports car. Gotta agree though the wheels really don't suit it, it'd look so much better with a stock wheels.
@jaysatanfox I would agree with you if it had the stock hood, stock interior, stock Mach 1 molding and stock color dodo gold paint. But that wasn't the look I was going for. Agree about your first comment, the 70 Mustang front end...made only 1 beautiful year and I love it!

Post some vids of the car driving down the street....but not from inside the car, do it from the outside so we can hear and see it. It is a really nice car, but damn I just can't get past those rims. I know that's the look you were going for and I fully support people who like to be different, but it looks like you took those wheels off a Nissan 350Z and slapped them on a classic Mustang! A nice set of torque thrust wheels would look awesome on that car, even if you got them bigger than stock.

@Karnage542 I wanted to go with retro larger and wider magnum 500's. But I had these laying around from another car and the bolt pattern fit. They already had new tires so I went with them. Honestly I love the way it looks, the silver wheels match the silver stripes.

@Karnage542 They are 19"s. I had to choose my battles. Buy all new tins or buy another set of wheels. I went with all new rust free tins and kept the wheels I had. Porportionally when you see it in person it looks good. I don't just like it, I love it. My resto-mod looks exactly how I wanted it to.

@MLGsucks8693 Way better than what...your rusted out Dodge Dakota LE "Luxury Edition"? (By the way the LE was Limited Edition not Luxury...nothing about your truck is luxury) So front fender, rear quarter, bottom of the doors and rocker panels are all rusted out and in your video you said it's not that much? Well you know what at least your truck has stock wheels...and that makes it way better.

So instead of fixing your truck you got rid of it? Have you looked at how many stock Chevelle's are out there? Hundreds of thousands of them are stock, restored to factory condition. I don't want my car to just look like another restored Chevelle. If the car is not setup for touring why go with a touring tire and rim obviously setup more for race so go with a race tire and rim.

@dunn98632 Hey Dunn, I'm not sure what gave you the impression that the car is not setup for touring. The foundation for this car is Pro-Touring, that's the whole reason for the modern wheels and tires. I've never taken her to the track but I can if I want to. Thanks.

Me personally, I preffer Magnum 500 wheels, but I have to admit that those rims look amazing man... Obviously, from a "puritan" point of view, those might be a disgrace, but they look pretty nice!. At the end is your stang, not theirs.

@vaughaning Thank you so much! I actually take the car to shows where all the "puritans" congregate and they are all really cool guys. They know I didn't go for a stock look so the wheels don't bother them. You can't beat a beautiful set of Magnum 500's on a stock mustang...perfect compliment.

I'd choose a 1970 Mustang over any modern sports car. Gotta agree though the wheels really don't suit it, it'd look so much better with a stock wheels.

@sjnallie1982 Rims are held on with 5 lug nuts....I just don't get people like you. Rims are so easily replaceable. I used these rims because I had them in my garage not doing anything for 8 years. They turned out to be the same bolt pattern and they already had new tires....so why not? To each his own my friend. Do me a favor please post a link to a car that took you 4 years and $50,000 to build so that I may insult it as well....mate

I have posted my car on multiple Mustang and Ford forums and never got backhanded compliments like yours. Here's the best part I didn't build the car for them or for you...I built it for me. Post some vids of the car driving down the street....but not from inside the car, do it from the outside so we can hear and see it. It is a really nice car, but damn I just can't get past those rims. I know that's the look you were going for and I fully support people who like to be different, but it looks like you took those wheels off a Nissan 350Z and slapped them on a classic Mustang! A nice set of torque thrust wheels would look awesome on that car, even if you got them bigger than stock.
