Most keyboardist back in the day were marginal at best; just good enough to cover B3 lines and string patches - but this guy is a real player; he deserves serious props.
I'm from Minneapolis and I find myself name dropping the Replacements and Husker Du when talking music with out-of-towners. This video reminds me to never forget the Burbs. Now, I'd better go catch a New Standards show (Chan Polling's current band) in order to atone for my music historic omission.
These guys will get their due. The songs have aged really well. I heard rumors of a movie that was loosely based on The Suburbs about a great regional band that couldn't break out due to their label troubles. Anyone know what I'm talking about? (Actually, that describes seven or eight student films I've seen, but I think this movie was released.)
Dayum, the early 80's were a fabulous time to live in Minneapolis.

My wife turned me onto these guys since she hails from Minnesota. I was never a big fan of the 80's new wave groups, but these guys rock!!
