You can't have 5.00 M33-6 that in't a cfw, because this firmware itself is a cfw.

@kamenriderpsp Yeah, I risked it and went for it and it worked great, although I dunno what happened. It jumped from m33 straight to m33-6 after the first install and I didn't need to update anymore :P haha.

Thanks! I tried this yesterday with your video and everytime i went to the update it said could not start game(490foe50) something like that so i formatted my memory card and let the psp charge over night and it worked today =)

i got a question...I downloaded Monster Hunter Freedom Unite and put it in my ISO folder and when I went to go play it, it said there were no games in the folder...i figured it was my cfw so i updated it like you did and its still happening! Do you know whats going on or how to fix it?

could be a few things. check if u have PSP/GAME folder. check if your card i magic gate supported by pressing /\ on the memory card in PHOTO or VIDEO

ok it says magic gate unknown but on the memory stick it says magic gate on it so i would think so...and yes it does have a PSP/Game folder...she I put the file in there?

if it says unknown then u got yourself a fake memory stick, forget what is actually printed on the stick itself. No, dont put the game in the PSP/GAME folder, u just need to have the folder. I suggest you backup your memory stick, format it on the psp and then put 1 game back on at a time and go from there. if u still cant see the games then its cos u got a fake stick.

well its an 8gb memory stick that I bought for $25 on ebay from hong kong...it holds music and everything...and one typical game, but after I put that one game on, everything I put on after that becomes corrupted...idk what to do

fake memory sticks are renowned for their inconsistent results. works one day and not another. u could put up with it cos the cards are cheaper but just live with the fact that u might get problems which arent explainable.

@vxs100 1. Turn off the the PSP by holding the power button for 3 seconds 2. Power up the PSP while holding the R trigger to go into recovery mode 3. Open up the confiugration settings and locate the UMD Mode setting

 4. Change the setting from Normal to m33 driver no UMD 5. Exit recovery mode

this worked for me, however my save files were still anally raped. Good luck friend :)

Of course it wont work, u're running official firmware. The description says that you need to be running cfw M33.

In your case you need to homebrew enable your PSP using chickHEN and then install custom firmware using hellcat recovery flasher or xgen updater
