  • I got a Baha behind my right ear two years ago. I got the surgery which involves removing the hair follicles and yes I do have a bald spot. Honestly it's not that big, you can hardly tell when the processor is on. Though I do have long hair which also covers it so normally people can't see anything. I do wear my hair up a lot though and honestly you can't tell that there's a bald spot unless the processor is not attached to the abutment. I'm getting another Baha behind my left ear soon! =)

  • wish this guy was my dr. back in 2007 cause I had the other type and it has been a nightmare!

  • My dad's surgery finished with succes :O

  • Tomorrow my dad is gonna operate for this ...

  • I'm having this done Tues. how long until you are resuming normal activity? ( heal time)

  • I have no bald spot, watch the video. Dr. Bob Owens shows how to do the surgery without a bald spot. If your sugeon will not watch the video and take training on how to do the surgery without a bald spot, I would suggest you change surgeons. If you have to fly to Dallas for the surgery. This is a patient opinion, I am not a surgeon or medical professsional.

  • My mother is deaf since her childhood (Born Deaf) her age is 54 now, can she get Cochlear Implant?

Also my 21 year old brother (born deaf same like my mother) can he get this Cochlear Implant?

  • @RizHail They probably can have a Chochlear Implant, but you need to see a Medical Professional, I am just a patient.
