Kudos for speaking out the truth. Children need love, and love is never wrong. I hope much of this injustice will end with our children as we raise them to treat everyone the same, regardless of race, gender, sexuality, etc. etc. It is up to us as parents to change the world, we can't change the people who are already jaded. I'm confused as to why the Knights of Columbus are for Prop 8. Isn't Prop 8 against gays? But the Knights of Columbus are a "lay" organization and admit only men. Can anything get more gayer than a bunch of men getting laid to one another, wearing fancy looking feathery hats and purple robes? In seriousness, though, it's nice to see that the anti-prop 8 money raised beat the pro-bigotry money raised. That's got to be a good sign for the future.

I'm not so sure it's going to be the show you want it to be. It was not the platform for equal rights that I hoped. It got distracted. It wasn't about equal rights or marriage or kids - it was about homosexuality and choice and the bible. The excerpts from my vlog were effective, and I was able to make some points, but not the way I wanted to. And some very important things were left out. It felt....incomplete. Who knows how it will air.

I'm so sorry about that. I did a lot of public speaking against Prop 102 in AZ (our version of Prop 8) and the speeches and editorials always went great, but the TV interviews... (sigh) You lose so much when you have no control over which sound bites get picked. And why theology has anything to do with civil rights I'll never understand. Debate theology in the churches, but give everyone equal rights in the civil laws!
