linoma57.... I also went to Eastbank Academy (1969-1975) and Tollcross/Wellshot Primary. Think Junior Campbell was at Eastbank same time as my sister. It's a small world out there.
what a great song from an era long past when music was music with real tunes and real musicians...these songs will live forever unlike now....give me these anytime ....plus if it wasnt for youtube all of the classics probably would never be heard by the majority ..and so they live on....classic tracks from days long gone...
This song, although sounded fine from our trannies way back in the dying embers of the swinging sixties, would really benefit from a remake with the latest multi track analogue or digital, all singing and dancing recording techniques, that would give it a bit of oomph! and bring out the harmonies and orchestration of what is a lovely memorable tune.
@DrFettish It was probably too short to be played after 'pop quiz' on Ken Bruce's broadcast so he can have a toilet break I reckon. It would be something like 'Life's been good' Joe Walsh, or 'Rose of cimmaron' Poco both good & lengthy.

A superb track that typifies everything that is great about 1960's music.
