  • This made me smile!

  • Cool

  • "you´re just jealous that i have a boyfriend and you don´t!" cracks me up ;-)

  • Does this have the production values of something like Big Love? No, of course not. BL had the resources of HBO to draw on. But you know, I'd rather watch a show about this than BL. Maybe some network or big cable channel will see this, and then do a big, expensive, high-production-values version. That would be cool.

Coincidentally, while I was typing this, the Geico "does it take two to tango?" commercial came on. I'd like to see a dance made for three.

  • would love to know where to find the theme song with words. I really like the song.

  • Nonsense. The dialogue was delightful.

  • Despite what another commenter said this was a good first episode. As part of a poly triad which is about to move in together I'm chuckling :) Thank you.

  • Polyamory sucks ass. It sucks as much as this show! It's uncanny how much it resembles the quad I was in. this is a rip off.

  • i liked it.

  • "You really are turning into your mother" oh that's cold

  • TERRRIBLE ACTINGG

  • Nice work... check my Web Series out some time.. we shot with the canon 7d..

  • I can not wait for the next season!!! This show is Great :)

  • lol this girl is a whore!!! lol!!!

  • you only say that because your a robot, and whatever the mass media puts in your head you believe....

    oo0o0o0o0o

any smart person would rather be "whore" then a robot...

    your just jealous

  • This is a fun show!

  • Can somebody make subtitles? I would like to translate it into Russian, but it's really hard for me to do this without subtitles.

  • hi all

  • Yay poly! Sometimes it hits us, that feeling of being minority straight folks, so it is great to have stuff like this to watch and laugh along to.

Thank you from all three of us!

  • I hear you and totally agree! Cheers to this web series from a FMF triad in Atlanta.

  • I have been in a poly FMF triad for the last five years and I like to think we are a pretty good normal disfunctional family. My partners are a married couple with 3 children (I got to cut the cord on the third). We have lived together, raised the kids, had huge arguements and amazing romantic times. This lifestyle come very natuarally to me.

  • FMF is so legit

    MFM is a little iffy

i just have more faith that 2 girls would be poly amorous for the right reason

    then 2 guys

    i don't trust guys

and i don't think anyone does

plus how many guys in MFM would be down to go down on the other guy?

on the other hand i know pretty well most girls are down lol

  • @kindofatheist It's not just about the sex. Also, your assumption about women being more sexually fluid than men is a bit suspect.

  • @keythah

It's pretty well established that women IN GENERAL are more sexually fluid than men IN GENERAL. That doesn't mean that every woman is fluid or that no man is.

And besides, like you said: it isn't just about the sex.

  • What a hilariously wonderful show you guys have put together! I spent last evening watching up to the interview episodes, now I only have a few more left and I'm looking forward to more! :)

Good job presenting a topic that isn't well-presented. I'm new to implementing a polyamorous lifestyle myself so some of the scenes where those of us new to poly might tense up in that situation are even more powerful.

    I mean, I know it's acting, but it's very good!! :)

  • I think it's great that Terisa is raising awareness about the poly community through her filmmaking.

    ~Blog Sexie Sadie

  • I'm right there with ya!

  • As a fellow polyamorist in Seattle, I want to cheer this on! I just hear about it on Fark, and I'm so excited! I don't know if you guys ever read these comments, but well, Yay! Did you all see the poly pride contingent in the pride parade this year?

  • Not much going on here. Very static camera, all middle distance shots. They need to check out I Love Lucy.

  • i like this :). i currently have a bf and gf myself. my gf is married (husband knows) and my bf is seeing a girl on a casual basis. i know the acting isn't incredible and the music is cheezy, but i do like the lines in the story. And i like the way they make it both serious and playful at the same time. i can't wait to read the rest :).

  • Read Robert Heinlein's "The Moon is a Harsh Mistress". Great SF book, great read, and funny. Good example of the possibilities of multiple-partner contracts to form family groups.

More power to these folks - hope they can make it work long-term.

  • i'd hit it.

    With a damned TRUCK.

  • 1:50 in before I couldn't take the acting. I'll try a later episode.

  • This is a- BORING, b- has boring, predictable dialog and c- has TERRIBLE MUSIC!!

ugh. why dont they explore something deeper about this lifestyle like, "maybe people dont get why we both being married or how we are totally connected to the other, if we're off seeing other people" not "Oo tee hee, we're gonna talk smack about you on aim! tee hee!!" that could be anything. except i wouldnt make it a what seems endless dialog on a series. ugh, DULL.

  • This is only the first episode. Later episodes explore poly scheduling difficulties, the question of raising children, and the issue of a poly person dating someone who is not poly.

  • @famerebel - Actually, it kinda should be "boring". A poly family isn't like "Big Love" with constant dramas (unless they have teenagers - in which it WOULD be a MGM Epic Drama!!). Poly families are like other families - mundane.

  • @famerebel

This was just under six and a half minutes. I don't expect tons of depth in the first six and a half minutes. If, several eps later, I find it not to be engaging, THEN I'll give up on it.

  • the guy isn't too bad....man, she's terrible

  • Six minutes of my life I will never get back!

  • The proffering of the autograph was good. :)

It was a funny episode and made a serious point about dishonesty too.

Poly is a middle-class indulgence. Discuss!

Interesting to see you have a child in the series now and I wonder where this is going?

Maybe Gemma will have a baby one day?

  • A pre-release party for the Family DVD is being held during Polycamp 2009 on Friday night, August 28. Check out polycampDOTorg under the EVENTS link for details.

  • I've been poly 5 years. I'm excited to see this.

  • My wife and I have been in a poly relationship for the past 12 years and we live in Seattle. We absolutely LOVE this series and want to thank you for posting these for the rest of us! Seriously, I feel that this is more than just entertainment; it is a way to let the world know that poly folk are more mainstream than suspected. Bravo for a great job all around.

  • lol..i love this!!!!

My hubby and I are poly, He's kinda seeing someone right now, and im just rekindling something ....idk, i can just see THAT being us...lol. its great!!!

    GOOD JOB GUYS!!

  • This sucks!

  • So are there acting schools in Seattle?

    Or not?

  • They're all so gorgeous! <3 And silly. I like them.

  • So well made. I just launched a web series of my own. Try it if you like. "Exposed Brick"

  • You must be doing something right. My *daughter* found this funny. I asked her if it looked like a poly family to her and she giggled and nodded. ^_^

  • Great show, I can't wait for 3. I have pasted it on it others. I hope to see allot more.

  • Yes, finally! Looking forward to the next episode...

  • This show is very clever- I love it...very real.

    Nice work terisa!

  • Great idea for a show! I like it so far!

  • I love the shows, as a part-time Seattle poly person... I have been to meetings like that and know many MS poly folk. Actually know one of the actors in Ep2. Keep it coming, I am still laughing and sharing it.

  • terisa- i think this is a clever plotline. I gotta say- the song is cool and everything but it feels like an odd combo with the show. i mean i get it, you know, 'different kind of family'--but i have a hard time meshing the sound with the content.

    no disrespect intended : )

  • Thanks for making this! Should be interesting to see more! They do live in the kind of neighborhood where they will talk a lot with the neighbors. Let's see what happens. xo Beki

  • Thank you for posting this polyamory show. I've passed it on my local poly meet up group and will be watching for new episodes.

  • That was kind of scary since we are all sitting at the computers doing pretty much the same thing! I'm looking forward to more episodes.

  • Thanks for making a polyamory-themed show. I'm looking forward to future episodes!

  • Very real. I love it!

There is so much we find funny in our poly situation! I once ask Rabbit if I could leave marks on her (our) boyfriend. She asked me if I was going to scratch "SLAVE" into his back or something. No, I replied, I was thinking of writing "Hi Rabbit!"

Yay! We has our own show! - Silver

  • I did, actually :-) Immediately after I left the comment here, I made a journal entry in my LiveJournal and recommended that everyone check it out. Being a polyactivist, I'm always interested in, and promoting, positive poly media.

  • Great show! Great Topic!

  • I think this has some promise to it. I particularly enjoyed the opening conversation where they discussed the complications of being "out". I look forward to more episodes.

  • you're welcome; I guess what made me think of it was the idea of an unconventional relationship in a seemingly "normal" suburban neighborhood that the other neighbors have difficulty accepting you for.

  • Terisa, that's fantastic! So exciting to see - it's funny to see the likenesses of Scott and Larry too [grammar correction and all :)]

It reminds me of a film I saw last night, "Little Children" - have you seen it? Incredible, highly recommend it.

  • I have seen "Little Children" - wow! what a comparison. Not sure what you're seeing that makes that connection for you, but hey, that was a great movie, so I'll take it! Please do shar the series with as many people as you can! Thanks for watching! :)

  • Hey Terisa it looks great! Really nice job!
