Sadly this is becoming more and more frequent . LA has had a tornado/severe thunderstorm warning every year since 2003.

This might be common in other parts of the country, but its very rare in LA....or at least it used to be. That's like if the midwest suddenly had to worry about earthquakes.

El Niño usually just brings with it cold rainy storms. None of the super cell tornado spawning storms that you see elsewhere.

i live in dallas tx where we get tornadoes alot dont worry or panik it nothing but just know where the tornado is heading to if it heading towards u just drive somewhere away from the tornado till it passes by once it does then go back that what i always do but tornadoes arent anything unless ur stuck in the freeway then yeah get your ass out of there dont worry about tornadoes they arent as bad as hurricanes

Ummmmm... the WORST place to be during a tornado is in your car.

Get into a reinforced building if a warning is issued for your area and you're in the path. Since you all in California probably don't have basements, you would get into an interior room or closet and maybe cover up with some blankets to try and protect yourself from glass or debris.

A tornado is not just defined as a tube sucking "everything up", they go in different categories, like hurricanes. An F5 tornado would suck "everything up", but not the tornado that hit 10 months ago in L.A. That was an F1. The Day After Tomorrow is a Myth. And Global Warming is not here yet.

that message is wrong. A Warning does not mean one is imminent, it means that Dopplar radar or a NWS trained spotter has seen one on the ground. And by definition a tornado Has to be on the ground to be a tornado other wise its just a funnel. but if a tornado hit LA what would you all do?
