  • SPANK ME

  • нихерасе зверюга!!!!!!!

  • I personally love the Scarab boats by Wellcraft. Forget specific roles - if you want any boat in any class they build, Scarab is awesome. It's the only boat I'd ever want to buy.

  • HOLY MUTHAFUCKIN SHIT!!

    THAT ROOSTER TAIL IS BADASS!!

  • Hard to tell what this dude has under the hatches, chances are it's not the power added when built in '86 or '87. Back then, the standard motors from Mercruiser for the Scarab KV were around 400 HP, and that's being generous. Likely been repowered and now maybe even staggered. Once he got on plane that rooster tail loomed up, and I think the drives are surface piercing which generally accounts for that. Again, I'm speculating.

  • Sweet !!!

Listen to that engine "singing" at 1:22

    Love it

  • when you flew past that baja i got chills.

  • whats the top speed on this boat? im guessing between mid 70s to low 80s?

  • how would she handle heavy seas off kerry coast Ireland ?

  • This boat ate fast, my bass boat will beet this !!!

    This boat is lame !!!!

  • @Goodshaft he didnt put this video on here just to hear shit like this from you. he did it so people who wanna look up boats like this will find it and enjoy it. not hearin people say that theirs will go faster! Fuck off

  • That Boat is slow compae to a outerlimits hull.

Outerlimits will go over 120MPH with triple motors.

This Scarab is a out dated boat, and over priced as well !!

  • @Goodshaft Dont EVER! talk down to the classics

  • @Goodshaft Mr. Good shaft, there are many boat companies that run 120 PLUS. Today is the Tickfaw 200 and there will be many boats there in the 160 mph range. I dont know what youre trying to prove here or if you even know what youre talking about?? Given a powerful enough set of engines and the outdrives to handle them, this well craft that youre picking on can be made to run 120 as well.

  • @Goodshaft And what do you drive then? Or are you one of those jerkoffs that only talk crap?

  • WOW!! I just fell off my Chair..

  • 2x598cui

  • @StingerFredde Do you run surface drives or you just trim skyhigh? Very impressive rooster! I got one but not like this. Nice vid!

  • is it twin 454s?

  • AWSOME BOAT BRO

  • Unreal, like a formula 1 car on water. I have a 21ft Wellcraft with a 5.0ltr but nothing in this league. One day maybe. Love your 38kv, keep it flat out.

  • Nice vid, on some of the "bif boy" poker runs if you're not brining 110+ mph then forget about it.

  • omg this is so fair from the realitie:P

    not normol..

    5/5

  • Awesome rig... what props u using? Are u trimmed too high? Why does it seem to spray like a jet? Its cool, I just wanna know how to do it... lol

  • Those are Mercury #6 drives, which are a cleaver style prop. On plane, anywhere from a 1/5th to a 1/3rd of the prop is out of the water. They are considered "surface piercing" props.

  • go don!

  • u in a poker run or sumthin?

  • sounded like your port motor was running faster than your starboard for a while

  • HELL YEAH

  • Scarab sounds healthy boys, good job.

  • I have watched this video many times. Totally awsome and puts me right there!

  • Me to dude, This boat would be a dream to have, Somthing did not sound right at :50 though.

  • That was called cavitation. OUtdrives too high. It stopped when he lowered the outdrives

  • Awsome boat and awsome video coverage. Makes me feel like I am right there!

  • Are you alf richard bjerkøen? (olabando)

  • I think I just had an accident.

  • git r done- that is a cool sounding boat-- but my little cigarette would eat this thing up- kidding--

  • damn....i would love to get behind the wheel on this thing at like 6 in the morning...no boats, smooth water and just crank it....damn

  • That is the best sounding boat i have ever heard...

  • soo fucking nice :D

  • What drives are on that boat? Did some of the KV's come with Speedmasters?

  • There are SSM 6's.

I re-rigged the boat two years ago, from 454's and TRS's to the current set up with N/A 598/750's and 6's.

There are some pics from the re-rig on my website NorthOffshore, but it seems impossible to put up a link here...

  • No problem with the overall geometry of a #6 drive's prop location in relation to the rear pad, compared with the old geometry? Did you have to play around with various extension boxes, or did you just re-do the entire transom then mount the drives?

  • ........................porcavacca!

  • sick boat bro

  • You have absolutely no knowledge of Wellcraft or history of the Scarab.

  • is scarab the boat company and if so are they still around? cuz when you search for them on google nothing comes up. really cool looking power boat

  • Scarab is made by Wellcraft company.

  • soz that was for preludefan

  • my dads mate has a scarab 26 with twin 750 sternlegs and he lives in big manly (auckland)

  • wow!! my 27" in comparison is null...

  • This scarab is from Stockholm - Sweden.

    2 x 598 cui with 748hp each

    Over 70 knots - 80 mph

  • thats such a sweet boat- i wish scarabs were as common in new zealand as they are in the states!

  • HOW FAST, HOW FAST???

  • The original "Vice boat" did 48 knots, which was quite good for a boat of this lenght and weight. The boat was in Finland for many years, and i managed to have a testdrive while it was here.

  • The boat is still here and did 54 knots driven properly...and there is at least 2 more Real MV boats around, One In Norway and one in USA.

The one in Finland was Don Johnsons private boat.

  • Thanks for the info Mickey! IMO still one of the best looking boats ever made. 54 knots, hmm somebody propably made an upgrade on the engines or cleavers? Do you know who owns it these days? It was is eastern Helsinki for many years..

  • My Friend Has it.

    Yes 54knots with 502´s

52 as best with the old ones.

  • My Friend Has it.

    Yes 54knots with 502´s

52 as best with the old ones.

  • The other MV boat WAS in Norway as you said, but the last time I saw it was about 6 years ago...

Anyone interested in chasing it, let me know, I've got friends who will know where it is today.

  • I own a 38f Scarab in Norway with two 454 & trs drives, maybee the same??

But I have no history on it so if y have please reply to my mail

  • Regarding Gpood looking boats a 38KV is a bit Wide, a 35 Mistress or actually a 27 Magnum are the tops in Width to get it allright.
