This is the Best Odyssey movie ever made - great visual effects, brilliant acting, brilliant everything! Armand Assante was perfect as Odysseus.

Greta Scacchi (penelope), Isabella Rossellini (Athena), Eric Roberts (Eurymachus), Bernadette Peters (Circe), Vanessa Williams (Calypso), Irene Papas (Anticleia) were no less impressive.

yes the composition is a masterpiece and the film is definitely enhanced by the musical accompaniment. unfortunately, we do not have the actual types of music that were used in the ancient performances of The Odyssey from 2500 or so years ago. but with modern late

20th century technology the film became a masterpiece. i only hope that hollywood does NOT try to remake this with brad putt or God forbid george looney!
