it is awesome to find legends of bluegrass on ONE STAGE!.....tony rice, jerry douglas, sam bush, barry bales, and dan tyminski. you can not beat that!
I see each of these guys several times a year with there respective bands but to get them togher like this is almost perfect...many thanks..if Tonys voice was back it would be bluegrass perfection!!!!!
Tony was around 26 years old when he recorded the "Manzanita" album back in 1977. I first heard this album from a relative 20 years ago. It is an amazing album. Streets ahead for it's time.
Ima gonna use this joke on stage at our next show. If you see this comment Sam, is that ok to you? lol. Man what a joke!!! The song is beautiful!!! If anyone has ever tried out the chord progression for this song, it is incredible, too. Wyatt explains it on here (YouTube).

Eclecticism at utmost taste and balance:
From Kentucky to Hungarian plains where gypsies roam(Darrol), from misty hills of Ireland to Cordoba, Spain via muddy banks of Mississippi.

Thanks for sharing this great music in a great setting. Like Brubeck and Joplin, Rice's music will be treated like classical one day..

Already classical while he's still around.
Please always be around Tony !!!
