  • wow what the hell is with the music? epic fail.

  • haha nice work drowning him out with background music

  • Do they always use the quotes around "Reason" when naming the magazine? Seems rather editorial.

  • But when you look at social movements I would agree that just looking at the major players does not give you an accurate picture of what happened.

  • Reagan before he came into office said the result of the cold war should be we win they lose.

in the 1970's oil prices were high which benefited the soviet union and the US was mired in Vietnam and the US the economy was stalled. In the 1980's the roles had reversed. the US economy was taking off and Soviet Union economy was staling and the low oil prices didn't help them. This eliminated the hardliners which thought that we can engaged in a arms race.

  • Ronald Regan campaigned against Communism many years before he entered politics. When he become President he went to work to see the demise of 'The Evil Empire'. -If it was left up to Gorbachev.. the wall would still be standing-. Regan used Gorbachev as an instrument in his quest to defeat the Soviet Union.

Remember SDI ? Credit where credit is due....

  • What do you mean we say Regan and Regan alone? We give props where props due. Yes he played a tremendous role in helping, so that is what we talk about.

  • Russia Today frequently interviews Ron Paul. I think they favor interviewing people who favor a less interventionist foreign policy.

  • @MooseofReason You can say that again. Russia is desprate to remove the encirclement that we have them in now. I say the USA should oblige them so long as they forgive some of the debts they owe us or some other worthy goodie we can extract from what the United States should do anyway.

  • Except when it comes to Georgia, Chechnya, Poland, Ukraine, Serbia and Moldova, Russia loves non-intervention. I would think the Russians would like Ron Paul because he, in principal, is for less intervention on the US's behalf. But, I suspect, Russia would do as Russia does, which is usually pretty shady. I don't mean to suggest that things are all "on the level" with the US, EU or China either, but them Ruskies are sneaky.

  • the background music is annoying as hell

  • Amen brother. You stole my comment.

  • thats a very west coast accent.

  • The evil empire is dead?
