@LatinPercussion You could see it as two factions in mainstream hip-hop by then. Basically, Kurtis Blow and friends, and Marley Marl and friends. Marley's acts were always going after the others, beginning with Shanté, who also took jabs at Run and Kurtis Blow. And even Moe Dee was sort of on that side, and of course went after LL. As did Shan. I always rooted for them, as Run and the others were way too egotistical.
