I have lived in the awful city of Duluth for 29 years. I HATE Duluth with every passion and fiber in my body. Duluth has awful winters, a bunch of lazy citizens, and is a boring city to live in. There is not really any good activity for a sober person to do here. What is there to do in Duluth? Drink and do drugs. And people who are involved in those activities disgust me.
Ya I was in Hermantown at the time and couldn't leave work for a better view. I took a vid from their at around the same time this happened, but the storm looked to be outflowish ( near the end of it's strength). I'm thinking the warmer moist inflow from the lake could have caused the cell to recycle itself!
In fact so rare one has never been recorded here! Even the storm in the mid 80's never had a confirmed tornado in Duluth. Too bad the NWS can't confirm spouts, cuz this one clearly looks to be ( at least almost) to the surface.
I have some good pics of the cells that came through on Sept 21st! I thought they looked like they could produce! I wasn't able to see any funnels from on the hill!! Good job again!!
