I just watched Tyus play tonight in prior lake against John Sobaski and it was just balling they both had at least 30 points Prior lake lost by one by missing a game winning shot
@MrBasketballdude3 u r absolutly right i played tyus jones little brother today in a tourny and he is great too but i shut him down lol i had 26 points 10 rebounds and 7 assists. But for those who say tyus is decent he made the USA team as a sophmore so i think he could take all yall and he is a huge beast!
I've had the opportunity to play against Tyus when he was just a 7th grader and I was an 8th grader. Easy for you to say he is overrated but I have also played against Darrion Strong, Riley Dearring, Joey King, Shelby Moats, and other great Minnesota talents and he caused more fits for my teams than any of these players. Basketball is a TEAM sport and he makes the team better than any other player i can name. Also, his dad is like 6-6 so he definitely has some growing to do.
@bennybob1001 I mean the kid's jump shot is average. He has no pull up.. is an average finisher at best. Good vision and pace with the ball. His speed is average. And he's 6'? I don't see a lot of upside.
@bennybob1001 I understand what you're saying. But to solely put that as a top tier player in the country for his age is over rating him a bit. i guess he's still young, but that's what we've been saying every year since he's been around his 8th grade year. we'll see how this one unravels. I hope he does well but I'm just calling it the way i see it.
Tyus has a game that isn't ideal for the 3 minute highlight film, he is being highly recruited because at his age, he shows an incredible understanding of the small nuances of basketball.
making the right decision to shoot or pass coming off a screen doesn't make for a good highlight, but its something every college coach would die for in a PG

Why aren't they playing at the Salvation Army gym this year? That was so much better.
