True happiness is attained thorugh surrendering ones self to the will and aim of the Creator. In arabic this is the definition of a true muslim. To get to the stage of complete surrendering one must impose on the self very strict laws and rules, namely sharia. It's only thus the ego will be tamed. Sufism never leaves the boundaries of Islam and sharia. Inform yourself.
