This is the race that made me a fan. I was there and a few years later was racing an Alfa GTV in the SCCA for fun. This is still the best race I have ever seen. Brings back great memories. My friend and me had an 12 hour event of our own just getting there driving all night on Friday from Biloxi, Mississippi in a Fiat 850 spider. I got a ticket on the way back on Sunday for 85 mph in the Fiat. What a weekend.
@alfadan52 I never had the luck to visit Sebring but it are stories like these and yours that changed the blood in my veins into petrol. It’s really trilling to get a comment from someone who could witness these golden times of motor racing from the front row.
