How nice it is to see all those people laughing and joining in the snowball fight, after years of war and economic crisis mking everyone feel so down. Then here comes a cop who could've either joined in and put a friendly face on the police dept at christmas, or merely fell back to watch for danger if he felt snowballs were frightening to him. But instead he throws a tantrum, waves a gun and over asserts what should no longer be his authority. He made a very bad impression of the police there.
Do you know this is a major intersection in a "city". The mayor asked people to stay in so the streets could be cleared. Do you see a snow plow navigating around these idiots. If any one of them had been injured there would be a law suit and boo hooing from those out of town parents. If they have graduated from anywhere they should have left their campus mentality on campus.
That fuckin cop should be fired immediately for creating a public safety issue without provocation. You dont pull a gun from a snowball in the use of force diagram. Google use of force diagram and find out why he needs to go. Totally unjustified in escalating the situation and having someone arrested to save face.
Those of us who live in this city need our "fucking" cops who make a contribution, we don't need idiots with time on their hands and no respect for anyone else on the street.
@Terpguy00 this is DEFINITELY the same fight. The police officer was totally out of line, and most people didnt know he was a cop right away =/... scary
@Terpguy00 Idk if you found the full length footage of the cop waving the gun and being protested & confronted by the 'attendees' (the snowball fight was declared the night before), but you can find it at the nbcwashington website.

There was a fun snowball fight in Dupont Circle( a nice park in the middle of the city) on the same day......no problems so no news.
