@Pandalicious64 both versus and xiii-2 are in the same universe but different era. versus is like in the 21st century so they call it a "legend".. just my point of view though

Oh man, the voice acting in this one was done so well, and I'm usually the type to absolutely hate the poor excuse for voice acting in most English dubs.
When I first loaded up this page, I just jumped straight down to the comments (since I saw this particular clip already) and was shocked when I heard English. My first thought was, "Oh shi-! They already came out with an official dub?!" Then I see in the youtube title it said fandub and was all （ ﾟДﾟ）. That's how good you both were.

just a nitpick, but noctis' voice, while good, sounds a little bit stiff. But i don't know the character at all, so "stoic" might have been what you were going for. if so, then good going.

@juniperdragon Thanks! I'm pretty pleased with it. Stella and I recorded on the same mic with the same setup and her voice doesn't require a lot of editing (it's very clear on my Studio Projects mic) whereas my voice has a good deal of bass. The higher frequencies need to be boosted a bit, and the lower frequencies need to be less pronounced. I assume the editing to make my voice sound less muddy in the mix alters the mic quality - making the voice a bit more "tangy." Or, that's the theory.

In any case, it hadn't occurred to me to put fandub in the title (I've never had that sort of problem with other videos) so I threw it in there to prevent further confusion. It's almost kind of flattering that someone would mistake this for the real thing otherwise.

There was already enough evidence of it being a fandub; just because you didn't look for or notice any of it, doesn't mean you should down-vote the video. A lot of hard work went into it.
I really quite enjoyed the translation of this. Great word choice and timing. Also it felt very natural, like any other conversation...about a light...that no one else can see...from the world of the dead...yeah.
I enjoyed the portrayal of the two characters. Everything felt real natural, I almost forgot it was a dub. You'll have to forgive me for not going into great detail, but I don't have much to say. The dialogue was believeable and very natural from you two, and I was throroughly entertained.
Of course the Goddess was also very good. Then again, there's not much to go off of is there? It was ominous and got teh job done.

I enjoyed the portrayal of the two characters. Everything felt real natural, I almost forgot it was a dub. You'll have to forgive me for not going into great detail, but I don't have much to say. The dialogue was believeable and very natural from you two, and I was throroughly entertained.
Of course the Goddess was also very good. Then again, there's not much to go off of is there? It was ominous and got teh job done.
