  • Fantastic miking job. Is this the CAD Stage 7 drum pack? Or the Pro 7? I just picked up the Stage 7 pack... can't wait to try it out on my kit.

  • @chriscauldermusic it is the standard stage pack! they were pretty cheap but they did the job for being my first mics! now i own an audix pro 7 pack :D

  • @george5030 Awesome. Yeah the Audix were out of my range, unfortunately. Thanks for the quick reply. Do you put that AKG in the middle of your bass drum? Usually I mike my kick just in front of the reso head since there's no port, but I'm thinking it would be best inside. Is that how you did it?

  • QUESTION...did you just record the drums with the mics and upload or did you use any sound effects such as EQ or Compression, etc??

  • i have the same kit :) but i don't have microphones, etc...

  • hey are you using both condenser as your over heads or are you using one for your hi hats? Please let me know! Im gonna buy those mics this friday

  • @vampirepiggy2 heres the way i run the pack. both condensers as over heads. shure sm57 for snare. tom dynamics as toms ( i have 4 toms) bass mic in the bass head angled to the side.

^ put that after the youtube.com

  • Great sound.

  • you panned the overheads backwards but it still sounds rlly good

  • im actually thinking about getting the PDP X7 kit, with Sabian B8 cymbals with the exception of a 16" crash, i want that to be a Zildjan A maybe

  • Loving the kick drum sound.

  • I have the same hats and they sounds nothing like that! :(

  • wow bass sound awesome i cant get mine to do that idk how

  • which pacific double bass pedal is that? the single chain or dual chain? and how sturdy is it?

  • really good. and you said you weren't trying to make an awesome solo....well that was fairly good. rock on

  • How are the mics? Sounds really nice to me, but have you had any problems with them, and if so, do you have any recommendations as far as other mics?

  • what cymbal are u using as your ride?

  • @chocolatecookie5 AAX stage ride! 20 inch

  • is it the CAD Premium Drum Mics

  • dude your drums sound fucking amazing and you can do some pretty nice rolls d;

  • Hey what type of drum heads do you have on this? I have the same kit and cant find heads i like on them

  • sounds awesome :D

  • The kick and the china sound great together.

  • would you recommend the xs20 rock hats?

  • cool drumming

what kind of head do u have on ur bass drum

  • Dude lovin the snare sound...

  • who cares if u weren't trying to do an AWESOME solo. it was still pretty amazing how awesome ur kit and cymbals sounds!

  • are your splash cymbals wuhan also????

    what sizes are they????

    baddass sound by the way!!!!!!

  • @mryamaha31 yes the splash cymbals are wuhan! 8 inch

    thanks completely worth the price

  • @george5030 how did you tune your bass drum???

are the heads tight or loose????

  • A word of advice for recording: hi-hats are right and ride is left. I know that seems weird to a drummer, but recordings take the perspective of the listener, not that of the musician. :)

  • Nice hi hats and perfect china

  • Dang Bro Your Kits Sounds Amazing

  • how tight do u tune ur toms? the top and bottm heads?

  • Amazing playing. When i see videos like this, i am loosing taste for playing on my drums:D

  • i just love a kit with mics once i get on i cant get off lol.

  • What Mixer and Audio interface did you use to fits all these mics lol

  • nice sound

  • Your kit sounds really nice. Im thinking about buying the XS20 rock hats and crashes...did u do anything special (like eq or compression) to make the china sound so good? would like to know :) thanks

  • idk about the hats, but the xs20 16 in crash sounds really good

  • @chickenpotpie1216 i hate it and its great

  • @Phantomshock *have lol

  • did you edit the drum sound in any kind of way. if so what did you do each drum because it sounds good and i have the same mics and program and would like my drums to sound like that

  • how arethe pdp pedals?

  • what kind of china cymbal are you playing to your right it sounds great

  • is a Wuhan 20" china

  • great quality sound but the cymbals were a bit too quiet. particularly the hats

  • Great sound dude. What heads are u using I have this same kit and I cannot get it to sound that good.

  • Hey thanks man. I am using Remo Clear Emperors here

  • pretty damn cool dude.

  • what mixer are you using?

  • presonus firestudio project interface

  • This is the exact same kit I'm getting, same finish and everything. I had no idea it could sound that good with just a few mikes. Can't wait to play to my set.

  • sounds goods!!! i have the same mics and still trying to learn to use it all.

  • I'm using the Pro CAD 7 mic setup into an Alesis Firewire Interface that's going into Sonar 7. For some reason, I can't get the bass drum loud enough. I have the gain on the preamps up as high as I can without clipping, and I have EQed it to the sound I want, but it sounds so quiet in the entire mix. Got any tips for me? Thanks.

  • that was the reason of why I replaced my bass drum mic. The bass drum mic is an AKG D112.. its more expinsive than de CAD package itself. I use Sonar 7 with a presonus firestudio interface. What you should do is just play with the eq and effects until you get the sound you like. The drums are compressed ALOT.. that will help you to.. In Sonar 7 I also purchased WAVES software which is sold separetely

  • Ok thanks for the tips. I'm low on money so I'll have to make do with what I have. Is there a compressor built into Sonar 7?

  • what kind of mics are u using and what mixer are you using??? thanks

  • cad mics for snare, toms and OH.. for kick drum im using akg d112 and im using a presonus firestudio project interface with sonar 7 software

es verdad que el fue tu maestro ?

  • jaja no el no fue mi maestro... el fue maestro de mi maestro en la universidad en los angles Musician Institute

  • wow sounds great! how did you tune the bassdrum? any muffling?

  • hey thankyou man! well the fron head is just a quarter more titght than the batter head.... they are at the lowest tune i could get.. just the step after the wrinkles... and yes i have one 18" pillow inside of it

  • i have the same kit they sound awesome :)
