Hyundai Accent with AEM intake

people may think that hyundai's accents are shit, but I raced a mazda6 ( not a speed ) with an intake system and I won, and my girlfriends accent is stock, power to weight ratio is fucking good on an accent.

I've always thought of hyundais as pieces of crap, but now that I'm doing some serious car shopping, I have to admit that the interior shown here actually has a tighter, nicer feel than a civic.

You know, I actually bought one of these this year in March and I have to say the car is something that grows on you.. like you just come to like it so much you don't really care it's not a sports car. I bought the sport version at just around 19K and paid it off already and I've got no complaints about it, it's actually a nice little car.

With a Intake its a 8.7-9 Second car. An exahust brings it down to 7.7-8.3.

yes, but if you are a new driver, dont get a new car, the statistics are piled against you. buy used and you don't have to sweat about scratches/depreciation.

though the odds are stacked against you like cheese said, this would be a good car. The only times I can imagine you getting scratches would be during parking. You'd have to be extremely reckless to mess up with a car this narrow and short in real traffic.

all a intake does besides the nice intake sound is make ur engine louder and on a 1.6 or 1.5L expect minimal gains although accents i know do like the short ram over the cold air intake.... so i think maybe 3-5 hp.... throw a exhaust on it and youll have a nice deep tone bud

i have one on my 08Accent SE you can custom fabricate one or you can ask your local delar because they should have them AEM sort ram intake along with a few other mods that they just put out

i have a 2004 accent 1.6 and it can handle the power shifting as long as u take out the spring from the slave cylinder. it helps the clutch grab better.
