my cousin bought a similar model. i have to say its absoloutely stunning. alot of power for a laptop aswell as the toupad thing is very innovative. he is saving for a desktop at the moment but is thinking about upgrading it to windows 7.

I got the 6930G for £500.

It's similar to this expect it has a P7450 and a the 1GB TurboCache 9600M GT. It doesn't have a Blu-Ray drive either but I guess you did pay like £300 more than me.

It's a great laptop. I have Age of Empires 3 and it's runs smooth at the highest resolution with all of the graphics options set as high as hey go, including AA.

No you can't. If you look at it properly you'll notice that the processor in the model they offer is a sucky T6400.

What you're essentially doing is paying £150 for a Blu Ray drive and losing out on performance. No thanks mate.

If I'm gonna watch a FULL movie in high def, I'd use my TV. Otherwise regular DVD's will do just fine for the screen size.

I'd save that £150 and invest in an £149.99 LG Blu-Ray player. It's not the best but will do the job better than any laptop will.

And where does the PS3 come into this? Anyway, a PS3 is even more expensive than the Blu-Ray player and since you've not compared them yourself, you couldn't know which one does a better job.

The PS3 is irrelevant. Go shout at someone on some PS3 video if you want. The PS3 internet browsing is not as good as real browsing on PC's. The PS3 is NOT a replacement for a laptop so let's just drop it. I don't care about your PS3.

The T6400 is definately NOT one the best for laptops but it depends what price range. In the price range of this laptop, it still isn't. I have a P7450 which out performs it quite a lot.

Other Acer's in the same range have much better CPU's.

I presented the Blu-Ray player to prove that you can get more out of two products instead of purchasing the single suggested product for more money.

The PS3's involvement doesn't make sense. It's more expensive AND cannot even do all the simple functions of a laptop. Therefore it's irrelevant.

About the CPU, as I said, it depends on the price range and in the price range of the laptop in this video it IS NOT one of the best CPU's.

i do own a xbox it was my 1st next gen console and ive owned it 3 times the 1st to times i sold it trying to get a ps3 coz at the time it was £425 and the 3rd time i opened up my xbox and i broke it now i have a elite and a 80gb ps3 which i upgraded to 320gbs i like having both but i mostly play xbox coz most of my friends have it so its more fun to play with them. Its up to you but online people on ps3 tend not to talk. I hate people that say the ps3 or xbox is shit just coz they own the other

they're actually not called blu ray dvd they're called blu ray discs. dvds are dvds and blu rays are just blu ray movies or disks. not blu ray dvd because it isn't a dvd.

This only happened to me yesterday, so I looked it up and it said go to start and click windows update, when its done restart your comp and then it should be fine, it worked for me.

Not much point upgrading to the i7's as there is not much difference than the Core 2 Duo's & Quad's in gaming. i7's are only really better if you are doing high end graphics work & video editing.

These really are top class laptops! I've got the same model but mine has the T6400 CPU @ 2Ghz & the 9600M GS graphics but from what I have heard there is not much of a leap in performance between the 9600M GS & the 9600M GT. Anyway i'm more than happy with it as it still plays WoW @ 60FPS! :)
