This video, the 1983 version, the beats / harmony, sound quality and atmospheric stage video are excellent!!. It feels close to an official video and very well shot showing Ralph playing the keyboards close up. This live version seems to have more depth and power than the original and other versions. Since released when I was at school have always loved this 1983 track and forever in my top tracks of all time. 10/10 : A1+ : 110% it doesn't get much better than this!!!!!!!
Splendid stuff. Who would think back in the day that such music will be possible to make on a single ATARI 800XL nowadays: 8bc.org / items / music / YERZMYEY-Tokyo_Gondwana.mp3 (remove spaces).
Hell yeah man. Kraftwerk are my heroes on some many levels both musically, technologically and even philosophically to some level. They touched so many types of music too. Their contribution should never be forgotten.

Awesome. Okay, this is the version I remember from my my weeeee childy days! Never knew it was Kraftwerk. I think if I'd have known, I would have some of their albums ;)
I'm refering to the precise manner in which they construct their music. I once saw an interview with Bernie Buttler, where he recounted them asking him how he produced a certain sound on a New Order track, so he told them "oh, we used that mixer and synth over there." To which they replied; "but what is the EXACT process?"
This is just pure melody and great drum patterns from the masters of such! Catchy as hell. I love the main melody and..and..and just everything about this track.
No, this is the 1983 single version of this song. They released another version in like 2002, so the guy who uploaded put the 1983 in the title so people would not mistake the versions.

As I have guessed for some years now.. Florian Schneider (at the far most right) is completely paralyzed live. He is a studio genius, needs silence + time. He´s just doing some phonetic utterances with "his" MIDI "DEC-Talk" system on "Music non stop" and could probably use a good old hardware 16-step sequenser to get going live. Poor Florian.

There's nothing "1983" about this video. If Ralf Hutter looked like that in 1983 I must have been watching another band then.
Kraftwerk's current shows are awful, it looks like a call centre with the radio on in the background.
