Yeah, now I have klipsch reference speakers and sub and a nice 60" dlp, the receiver is ok it's a sony DA3000ES, I'm gonna get a receiver with HDMI next, possibly another newcastle or maybe a Denon.
Do yourself a favor. Invest in the best receiver you can get then frequent the pawn shops and you will find great speakers and components one at a time. Thats what I did when I was younger. A few scratches and dents but still lots of good stuff. Know the brands you are looking for most of all!!!!
that's how i started a 13'' tv and a cheap 100 watt theater system then i upgraded to a 20'' tv and 500 watts then 27'' with 950 watts now i have a 72'' with projector and 1200 watt system it takes time lil by lil
@plexfam 1200 watts? Only if you are running really good equipment but if it something like Sony, LG, Panasonic or Samsung then I really doubt it. The only way you are getting that kind of power is if you are running a really good receiver that costs probably at least $1,000. I wish I had 1,200W but my 600 is enough especially since my speakers are rated at 93db sensitivity.
ohhh uhhhh someone's got the home theater bug:) heyyy thats how most of us get started and then we upgrade upgrade upgrade upgrade it really never ends I LOVE IT!!!
we review home theater systems ourselves. If you want a home theater system of good quality look at our reviews..
