  • They look so pretty! I want to do this! :)

  • Why is WaLnut oil good for your skin?

  • loved the recipe, your accent too.

  • hihi... can I ask if the flowers can be reuse after the oil infusion...?? That is to infuse the same batch of flowers again..

  • Can I use coconut oil??

  • @dillpickleboocutie I've never used it, you should try it and see. I only follow the instructions I get from James Wong, Baldwin & Co. and Neals Yard.

  • @shazzypbear Alright, I looked it up and I don't think you can! However thank you! Loved the video :)

  • Can i use baby oil for this process? thank you

  • @Hevinlee I'm not sure... I've never tried... maybe, but I'm not sure what the paraffin will do to the petals or the chemicals... You'll have to let me know!

  • i dont have that oils that u list in ur video and those oils are hard to find if not is very expensive. can i use ordinary baby oil?

  • @rechellelml I'm not sure what the paraffin in the BO will do to the chemicals from the petals... I've never tried it... sorry :/

  • you can also use extra virgin olive oil, or another cold press olive oil.

    =)

  • @ibkristykat its best not to, as the concentration of the oil may damage the chemicals found in the petals. sorry.

  • @shazzypbear I believe Mountain Rose Herbs said otherwise... because that was the first vids I found on "herb infused oils"

  • can this oil be used for massage?

  • @desuki185 yup =]

  • Is there anyway I can make rose oil without almond oil or any kind of oil?

  • @truongthuythuytien not really. Rose oil is very expensive due to the amount of petals it take to make one drop of essence . Using oil is your best bet, as other oils can harm the delicate petal. That's what I know so far... but do some research and see =]

  • You should shake your infusions once a day to make sure that the petals stay saturated with the oil :)

You have a great video series here thank you for sharing!

  • @gloriagypsy oops, I just seen your other video where you mention shaking it lol!

  • @gloriagypsy lol!

  • will it work with dried rose petals?

  • @shelties100998 not really... I tried it, but if they are fresh you can get all the antioxidants out that you need to sort chapped lips etc. If they dry out you'll lose some of its medicinal properties.

  • @shelties100998 I say that it will, because according to everything I've read, if the herb/flower is Fresh it's most likely very full of water and oils, and the more water in the herb/flower the more it will seep into the oil and that will turn the oil rancid & create molds, which obviously ruins it. This is sort of the opposite of everything I've just recently watched in the last week of researching. I'm infusing 4 batches of herb/oil now. 2 extra virgin olive oils, and 2 almond oils.

  • wonderful, thank you for this..

  • rose oil??....what's that?!!is that a herb or something?!

  • shazzypbear, can i use olive oil?

  • No, its a little too acidy for petals, it'll overwhelm them, and ina heated place it will cook them. Sorry...

  • Thank you !!!!!!! I was looking for a video like this. I love the idea. Thank you for sharing. :)

  • can you use regular vegetable oil?

  • You can use almost all oil, though beware of the change of scent, try it and see. Sunflower works well too.

  • You use it as a fragnrance oil, body oil and for bases for scented lip balms. It smells really nice!!

  • keep the beauty essential vids coming ! their awesome

  • That smells sooooooo good and im not even there..lol :)

  • i've always been leery of fresh herb/flower oils because of spoilage issues. about how long would you say it should last?

  • roughly 1 week to 3 months. Depending on how much you make. I love making oils!!

  • Thanks so much for posting! Gonna try this! =]

  • Great I already have almond oil at home I just need roses

  • I got the roses but not the oil :P

  • Nice video, thanks

  • This is so awesome! I was just looking at this yesterday for my Etsy shop!!!

  • Any fresh flower petals, especially marigold and chamomile!

  • Thank you! That was wonderful.

  • I am not really able to get almond oil and stuff, But i dont suppose you can use olive oil or sunflower oil could you?

  • I wouldnt' use olive oil because the scent probably won't turn out. You could use grapeseed oil or apricot kernel oil pretty easily.

  • maybe you can try getting almond oil online @ Checkthemusic

  • Yes, Sunflower is best as olive oil is quite strong so use olive oil for herbs or anything dried. Sunflower is weaker and will get the scent and minerals out. BB x

  • WOO HOOO!!! tahnkyoutahnkyouthankyou for posting this lmao.

  • Great video, gonna have to try this some time ^_^

  • I love roses and this is great way to make my own oil. Thank you for sharing this.
