i'm so blessed with the voices of pastor rebecca and kari, they were truly blessed by God with a golden voice...and what really amazed me is that they were using their gifts for the One who gave it to them and for His own glory...to our Father, Our Saviour JESUS CHRIST. It is a matter of the heart, whether you worship on your knees, prostrate, hands up, etc. when we realize worship is about HIM and not us worship changes in the most wonderful way.

This song is my anthem!!!!!!!!!!! I love my church, thank you Jesus for Gateway!!!!!

@ajax1868 Amen! I wholeheartedly agree with you. Jesus told the woman at the well that those who worship God must worship Him in spirit and in truth. I hope I did not give the impression that I am against raising one's hands in worship or anything. I am not against that. I raise my hands in praise and adoration of what my Lord has done for me all the time during worship service. The issue that I hope to bring out is whether there's any man-made effort to try to get people to raise their hands.

@777notw I used to feel the same way, and the first time I went to this church it was with a terrible attitude about "megachurches." But God very quickly humbled me, and mostly through the worship experience. Sometimes, at least for me, I have to put myself in a position of worship. For some it's in a dark room alone on their knees, for others it's in a room full of people singing their hearts out to the Lord. I think it's individual and personal. But this not all "show," trust me.

BTW, I don't mean to sound negative with my questions. I have been actively involved in various forms of ministry for many years. I even served alongside a pastor, who was also the worship leader, in a college ministry. He was all about trying to get those in attendance at church to raise their hands in worship. I just think that's wrong. If people want to worship with their hands raised, that's fine. If not, that's fine too. Man-made efforts are not necessary - just pure worship!

Love the song! Yet, I have to wonder: are the lasers and special lighting effects really necessary? I mean, do they enhance the worship experience? Or, do they in some way "help" the crowd "get into" the worship? If so, then I think I have a problem with that, much the same way that I have a problem with working the crowd up into some kind of emotional experience, rather true worship. I'm not saying that the worship team and some in the crowd are not truly worshiping. Just sharing some concerns.
