In places like California you can get in real trouble but certain states have what is called Castle Law which basically gives any land or property owner the right to shoot you dead without repercussion if you break into his home or place of business or threaten his life in some way. @rubyboyke In the States it depends on what state you are in, really. In places like California you can get in real trouble but certain states have what is called Castle Law which basically gives any land or property owner the right to shoot you dead without repercussion if you break into his home or place of business or threaten his life in some way. Can't go to jail, can't be sued by the family, etc. Robberies in those places are basically attempted suicide so I don't feel bad for the guy.

The problem is firearms are made legal in your country if you have a license right. I.e. anybody can have one, which is why your country has one of the highest homocide rates in the world. guns are not the answer in civilian life. but your country is too voided now anyway to do anything about it, guns are everywhere.

@RichyDYupYup Granted, a lot of "gun owners" buy firearms out of response (ie- something happened where they felt vulnerable) and do not get the proper training or use them responsibly. Also; this video isn't a great depiction of the vast majority, being "responsible gun owners", (such as myself), who know when to use a handgun effectively and in the right case. With the way the law probably was at that time, it wasa legal shooting. However, since might be changed to use w/ immenant threat only.
