Bob Mould's best work? I'd go with "Explode and Make Up" (live version), "Tilted", "Black Sheets of Rain", "I don't want to know if you are lonely." and "Celebrated Summer". If you haven't heard all five, you should.
@RicRob33 hehe, no worries, mate. what do you think the best think he's ever done is? i know it's a tough question, but i would say for a complete recording of stone cold classics one piled on top of the other it would be 'Copper Blue' with Sugar for me. but as i said, lots to pick from hey? cheers.
@jacotango Copper Blue is a brilliant choice mate! The act we act is one of my favourite songs. On Poison Years CD Bob said "There are 3 things really popular right now. Noise, melody and intelligence. I think that sums it up. Genius. I also love Husker Du's Warehouse Songs and Stories and solo album District Line. But yes there is brilliance on every album and its amazing how his style has changed 2 times with each band and then again solo. Wow! Nice one:0)
the editor should have been warned that in the album tracks he used Brendan Canty is not the drummer, so using Circle Of Friends material wasn't totally appropriate.

I'm a frustrated singer / songwriter. Bob has an ability that I aspire to. Likewise Frank Black and Greg Dulli.

They were discussing past and future. So it was appropriate.
