I remember the movie "Six Weeks" starring Katherine, Dudley Moore and Mary Tyler Moore in the 80's. Katherine played Nicki a ballerina who was dying of cancer. She was awesome in that movie!!

I trained many years with Madame Nemtchinova. A teacher in the rich tradition of classical dance. It is a pleasure to see her again rehearsing the variations she passed on to her most serious and devoted students. I hope I can continue in her path.

I LOVE katherine healy. SHe guested our Nut in 1988 and was beautiful. If only my tape hadn't been ruined by Hurricane Katrina. Wish she had danced longer.

Great Post Blue, I was suprised to see K.H turn to the right in the variation,since her natural turn is to the left...What say you?

Yes, but I saw the Auroras on youtube that K.H. did in Jackson and later in the full production and she did the pirouettes to the right there also. Sometimes she seemed to stick with the right, also in partnering. I will say this for her; apparently she had the good judgment not always to be doing thousands of pirouettes in every ballet. Glad you like Nemtchinova, they don't make 'em like that anymore!:)
