Agreed, don't talk about CPUs if you don't talk about ALL. AMD is great bang-for-buck. Just considering Intel is lame, without justification of why it's better than AMD. Also agree with not mentioning Core i5-750, best bang-for-buck quad-core Intel CPU atm $238 AUS. For AMD, go for Phenom II X4 955 $188. Done. Both do great at gaming, not so much hardcore video rendering, image processing etc. Gaming these days is mainly GPU LIMITED.
@cannnonfoddder I'm sure you didn't catch what he said. He like Intel more than AMD, and knows Intel way better than AMD. Why would he talk about AMD if he doesn't know that much about them, let alone never used one.
Love how you totally leave out the i5 like-it doesn't exist when it should probably be your first pick, since not many people actually use hyper threading. And how can this be a video on choosing a cpu if you admit you know nothing about AMD?
well im doing HD Editing, so for christmas ive chosen the Intel Core 2 Quad 2.66GHz for around £200 XD

@ The Haters,
LOL, Post a video response if you say i missed an important area...
Get up on camera, remember everything, and try to explain to people who don't know much about this in under 10 minutes... It aint easy.
Thats where annotations come in.. if you would have waited for those there wouldn't be this discussion.

Wow, really well explained.
Especially the balancing part.
I always wondered why CPUs with a lot of cores had really low clock speed.
