The real Amy Lee was discovered by Joe Elliott of Def Leppard along with unknown Kurt Cobain in '83 at age 15. This song was written many years before band formed Kurt claimed an "imaginary friend" after song was written. Not only does the lead singer use her name, but Amy Lynn for Pres Jimmy Carter's daughter. Kurt's friend Kathleen Hanna's band Amy Carter. Singers mother for Sara Lee Bakery and John for John Mutt Lange who produced Pyromania. Kurt used paper poppies in Heart Shaped Box vid

The name, Amy Lee, comes from the girl who wrote a large majority of the songs for the band after being discovered by Joe Elliott & Kurt Cobain in '83. Others Amy wrote songs for Queen, Def Leppard, INXS, Kiss, Motley Crue, Nirvana, Foo Fighters, Hole, Prince, Michael & Janet Jackson, Pink, Xtina, Madonna, Adele, Marilyn Manson, Nine Inch Nails, GNR, Fred Durst, Eminem, Aerosmith, Nickelback, etc

@Nextixx I would not state these things if not true and could prove it. Kurt Cobain would often change my alarm clock as a joke so I would be late for school. Idea for "Paper flowers" came from lyrics in INXS The One Thing "You've got dead flowers on the floor". The One Thing would be inspiration for many songs including for me to write "One Vision" for Queen. This all lead to me writing Paper Sun for Def Leppard & Walk for Foo Fighters "paper mountains". Hutch would often tear paper on stage.
