sweet tone man. nothin wrong with modding a squire at all. Make it your own, and something no one else really has. thats why I modded mine :-)

tuners I found on ebay , the small clove. the bridge is a $30 bridge. I tune the bass in standard 6 string tuning of B.E.A.D.G.C
