This applies to anyone. My round of choice has always been a winchester 30-06 bullistic tip. 180 gr. You see I dont want to have to track a deer. But I recently was hunting in south carolina with a guy who was using a 300wsm and his deer dropped where it stood. Now anyone who knows south carolina hunting knows pea feilds can have long shots and i dont feel comfortable with the 30-06 anymore so what round for the 300 wsm would be best a bullistic tip or another solid round like hornady??

@FishingFrenzy52 Anything in a 300 WSM is going to put a serious punch on a deer. I use 165 gr Nosler Ballistic tips. You don't want your bullet to be too solid or it will go through the deer before it expands too much.

I have a browning A bolt in 300WSM and have been using the Winchester Supreme in 180Gr Accubond. Has worked a treat on bigger Sambar Deer (Australia) bit heavy on Fallow going to go for a 150Gr for smaller bodied deer. Great round.
