That Javascript function to record (and make decisions based upon) the screen resolution is a useful technique. However, it begs the question, can you do the same for window width? If so, how would you write the function?
In particular, Mac users often use browser windows in smaller than full screen resolution, but I'd like ensure they are correctly catered to.
