Modern Warfare 2 (PS3) Game Review

the graphics on this game are exactly the same in terms of looks on both consoles. The only difference is that the ps3 suffers from poor framerate in the campaign whereas xbox doesn't suffer. On multiplayer its virtually unnoticeable. Good news is that the new developers that are working on modern warfare 3 have come out and said that the game will be identical on both systems! No more shit ports

@meleemaster1up umm i bet you have the answer but : Xbox is like a simple PC so its easy to develop games for it ... PS3 uses a special Cell processor that needs developers to share tha game on the main core and all the other other 7 cores... (they are helpers) developers are greedy and lazy or the publisher pushes the knife in their back to make the game fast ... but thats the truth = Multiplatforms are using only 1 core in PS3 (sometimes devs take some time and use 1-2 other)

developers aren't investing any money to make ps3 games to look better....think like this if xbox 360's exclusive games would be ported to ps3 they will run on ps3, but if ps3 exclusive's (e.g. uncharted 2) would be ported to xbox 360 i am sure the xbox will can not handle or it will look very bad

It should be just about identical on both PS3 and 360.

Sounds like the 360 version has a SLIGHT graphics advantage, essentially unnoticeable.

Modern Warfare 2 is usually mainly bought for multiplayer (which is AMAZING, SCAR-H and MP5K rule! =P) and Uncharted 2 is mainly bought for singleplayer. Also MW2 isnt really showing you whats in real modern warfare that much, the snowmobile level im sure didnt happen in real life nor will it ever happen. Even if it would be awesometastic (yes I made that word up arrest me grammar police).

I agree with you Wolf, except for 2 points, 1) when you said magnificent story I wouldnt call it magnificent. Uncharted 2 had an amazing story, I would call Uncharted 2''s story magnificent but not MW2. It's story isnt anything special, I mean its Uncharted 2, a journey to find out what happened to Marco Polo's lost fleet, and find Shambala; a mythic, and hidden world claimed not to be real by some but real by others. MW2; stopping a terrorist attack and stop russia from destryong the US.

True True about the games. I'm not going to bash you about your word, (may I use it??? lol) I know MW2 wasn't "real" but it was close to being real by implementing emotion.I hear you about it's a game, but AT TIMES it showed "real emotions" 2 examples in MW2 show this: The "Airport Cleaning"level and the "Rooftop Run' level. LOL I did go over the top with magnificent when describing MW2, I meant to say...hmmmm...unique???

yeah, I dont think any other developer is gutsy or brave enough to make a level like the airport one in MW2. Tons of people were mad but it helped add on to the experience. A unique, and awesometastic experience.

The reason the review is long, is because some (or older) people aren't gamers, maybe before Christmas or their kid's birthday they wanna research the game via youtube. Hopefully this long-winded video helped them buy/not buy this game. Thanks again for the help (quick summary).

it was focused towards xbox because microsoft paid infinity ward obscene amounts of money to be the "preferred console" not because it's better on the xbox.

i actually bought the limited addition xbox that came with the game and the hardened version for ps3 (since i already had a ps3) and honestly the first 2 weeks it was better on xbox but i'm starting to like it more on ps3. less hackers and better competition. the last one was just my opinion though.

I hear you, and definitely respect your comment. You're very correct about the boat load of money shelled out towards xbox360 instead of ps3. The main reason xbox360 shelled out boatloads of money was because more gamers played MW1 on xbox360 than ps3 and what better way to say "thanks" to your system gamers than having limited edition systems, commercials geared towards your system etc.

Last I talked to my friends on 360, they said MW2 was still great and rarely ran into hacks.Oh well.
