It is not accent... it is called 'Originality'.. he delivers the dialogue in a market slang and that's the simple reason why it is so memorable.. in the film he plays a worker who has been on the streets for years.. but who once received decent education so he understands english while other coolie workers do not..

Jayan has no accent problem at all while speaking english.. He speaks in english beautifully in the movie 'Love in Singapore' way better than todays actors.
