@Intergalactiic You have to do well and school, AND be involved and do something special. My friend was a valedictorian, was part of ASB leadership for 2 years, and was part of 2 honor clubs and got rejected, probably because of her SAT score. I had very similar grades and activities but a slightly better SAT and got it. So try hard, study for your SAT, and do lots of activities, sports and more, and hopefully you'll get it. Good luck!
@JuiceyAnime It think it was around 1900 but she got a 30 on the ACT which is around a 1980 equivalence. SAT2s also make a difference and I don't know how she did on those
After watching many of these move in videos, its so easy to see the good universities from the bad. The good ones, easy move, no stress, organised down the little bits, while bad unis equals stress, stress and more stress..
Such a shame the UK Unis dont have videos like these. Id love to see the move in day from Oxford and Cambridge.
@MiyazakiTsuji Dude, hate to tell you, but dorms are small at every school in the country. Hell, you go to Harvard the dorms are small. Judging by what Ive seen though, UCLA dorms look nicer than most schools. My schools dorms are GROSS.
@MiyazakiTsuji Try going to school in the south lol. There arent only roaches, there are flying palmetto bugs. Palmetto bugs are giant roaches. Seeing one of those bastards fly at you is one of the scariest things ever.
@TonyDanza4Lyfe Lol! I KNOW. XD I live in Virginia.Hampton Roads, trust me I know. I'm sure it only gets worse when you go futher down south. No carpets, not even hard wood floors. just......floor XD
Freshman year i had alot of problems and had a 3.0 gpa.
Im currently a sophomore with a 3.6 gpa. This second semester i WILL get a 4.0 gpa. I plan on being in honors next year and senior year. I am so motivated to get straight As, and will get them.
If all of this happens, and i have a 4.0-4.5 gpa, do i have a chance for UCLA?
Im currently in a very expensive private/catholic highschool in missouri. So ill be OOS (out of state) I need an opinion! thx
@dudegetsomedeoderant I have near the same grades as you, same grade, and im from Cali, and I want to go to UCLA too, but its REALLY hard. The only person in the senior class of my one thousand person school in Cali was a extracuricular girl with a 4.3. =/ well good luck
@dudegetsomedeoderant yeah it all depends. i know people who got in with 4.0 grade average (with the grade bump of honors) and i know people who didnt and they had 4.6's and 4.7's. it just all depends i guess but i think you might have a chance :)
@dudegetsomedeoderant It all depends on your SAT and ACT scores. Score around 1800 plus on your SAT and score high on the ACT. Out of state is a bit harder. Take AP courses which will boost your GPA by a few. The first time I took the SAT I scored around a 1475 and the time after that it was around 1825 if I remember correctly. If avid is given at your school you should take it... do extra curricular activies including community service and get letters of rec. -Hope this helps.
Advise : Rieber Hall = Great time , not much sleep , and very little studying you have to be pretty disciplined if you wont to get anything done there.
God, I FUCKING hated going to UCLA, the professors don't give a shit about students, they care more about their research projects. Too many riots on campus, too many fights, and too much racial problems. I transfered to UCSD and I was happy I did. No more drama like I had at FUCKING UCLA!

I'm still debating on UCLA or Hawaii Pacific University. Why are the dorms so damn small!! Does UCLA have single rooms?

they do have single rooms but they're much smaller. the plaza's really aren't that small! you can fit three people and still have room to walk around
